Dislike of my wardrobe

I will probably get yelled at for starting this thread but here it goes... I just don't like any of my clothes. I love all my clothes when I look in my closest and I like them when i bought them, but once I put them on I don't feel right. Does anyone else feel this? Also I am really starting to hate jeans ( I feel they are too easy and everyone wears them) and I would love to wear a suit everyday but seeing as I'm only 28 and go to a college that is focused on agriculture I don't feel this would be appropriate. I guess I just needed to let that out and see if anyone feels the same or has felt the same in the past.

Maybe I have this romantic vision that is unattainable.

dude, you make no sense at all. How can you buy something you like aesthetically, but not enjoy wearing it on your body? Maybe, you severely have a disconnection from what you want to wear, and what you think you have to wear. That's the only thing I can gather from what you're saying. Otherwise you need to go through some serious introspection to find out what's up. Everytime I put something I own on, I feel fucking awesome, and you should too.

Try your cloths on in a dressing room with the three sided mirror, look at your ass, shoulders, arms, etc etc to make sure it all looks good. Problem solved.

Hm. I believe you are suffering from what we call cheap taste. Buy more quality items. Quality > quantity.

Okay this is the biggest bullshit sentiment on SF. How many SFers are actually content only owning a few items? We all end up just blowing tons of money buying just as much(if not more) clothing than our non-SF counterparts.

OP: post a fit pic. these threads are painfully boring without them.

I agree with you, I want to feel fucking awesome when I put my clothes on. And I think I do have a disconnection between what I want to wear and what I think I have to wear but the trouble is getting rid of that.

Maybe I just haven't figured out how to put my pieces together.

Yeah it does seem like you have a disconnect, but I have a feeling you may not have settled in with a look or aesthetic that works or even appeals to you after all this time. Maybe the clothes aren't fitting right either. I think this thread has potenti and can turn productive if you're willing to take some fit pics or put some things together to get some constructive criticisms going here. Far more worthwhile that way and I think most. SFers would agree.

Then you must correct this, and only you can do this. Why seek validation in feeling this? Instead seek ways in which you can correct this in order to feel good about your overall aesthetic. I don't know what you mean by the trouble in getting rid of the problem. Is it because of your job?

I disagree. All of my friends have loaded closets full of saggy, wrinkled cheap clothing, while my closet is neatly half-filled with crisp, ironed, more quality clothing.

So maybe the first step is to compare the way/style you dress now to the way you would like to dress, ideally.

If you're not sure/don't know, some introspection is needed, as Lane suggested. We can only start pointing you in the right direction when we know what you're going for.

no new, that is very strange. maybe check out a doctor to see about improving self-esteem, which will hopefully improve the way you view yourself in the clothes you like?
