3D TV without glasses is here

It's in it's infancy, and the product won't be available everywhere, but toshiba is selling 12" and 20" sets, and are working on a 56" version. You need to be in a sweet spot to get sharp images, but still, it's progress. I'd read about this before but am surprised to see it come to market so fast.

still years away from living up to the hype - if it's anything like the one i saw at best buy - the "sweet spot" is about 2 feet directly in front of the tv

I doubt this 3dTV fad lasts long enough for it to become mainstream. I could be wrong though, of course.

Reminds me of the directional audio thing where you can only hear it if you're in the exactly right spot. What happened to that?

You're not in the right spot.

I think this will be huge for gaming, but for movies not so much.

I would prefer they just tap into the back of my head as in the Matrix. These 3Dtvs are ridiculous.
