I haven't seen any threads about this, though I tried searching. I'm in a band with two 18-year-old singers, and a guitarist who's about my age. We work together well but that age gap makes it kind of a challenge to look like a coherent unit, whether on stage, in photos or in videos. I know that what I wear is far from the most important thing that will make us look like we all really are a band, but this is a style forum, so...
I want to keep people from thinking "what the hell is that guy doing up there, looks like he'd rather be playing in a different band" or "whoa, is that a middle-aged couple with their daughters?" If I showed up in, say, a conservatively cut suit that would probably happen. But I don't want to wear stuff that generally "blends in" too much, either - looking no different than any random dude from the crowd is not good. We play acoustic pop, so there's no particular costume or dress code. So, just give me some ideas. That could make for a fun thread.
For reference, this is what they looked like at recent gigs:

So they're not into giant logos or wild patterns or anything like that. Their hair colors do change every few weeks, though. A few more photos and some live videos at http://www.myspace.com/kojacezajace. And don't laugh at us for using Myspace in 2010, we're from a poor country and it's still OK for bands to use it here.

Ridiculous pattern, sure, but subtle colors. Among my dozen or so silly shirts, this is probably the least silly.
