Seavees 7-Eye Trail....worth it?

Hi folks.

I was wondering if anybody has sprung for the Seavee's Trailboot? What're your impressions? Is it worth the pricetag? Cheap, I suppose, for a pair of trailboot moccasins (comp. to Quoddy's, etc.) but still not that cheap on this busted grad student's budget. Or do you have something else in mind that you think I should be diggin'?

Thanks much.

Saw a pair of these at Ian in Seattle. They look pretty nice, and the price seemed pretty reasonable. Leather quality looked pretty nice. Didn't try it on, so I couldn't tell you much more other than that they looked pretty high quality.

If you're gonna go SeaVees i suggest getting the 3 Eyed Chukka Brass that they sell at Context.

SOLD The 7-eye Trail boots are extremely nice - I sprung for a pair (SIZE 8 1/2) this past winter and absolutely love them. I've only worn them outside 3 times, as I got them toward the end of the season and am more of a flip-flop/boat shoe kind of guy during the warm weather. They retail at $210, but I might be willing to let them go for $175/OBO, seeing as they're practically brand new. PM me if interested, and I can send pictures and additional details. They're very nice but I'm on a student budget as well!

Sold The Seavees are hitting Ebay - check out the auction if you're interested in making an offer.

The real question you should be asking is if its worth it TO YOU. If you can't find anything like it--be it the shape of the shoe and down to the eyelets--then it must be worth it.

I'm just gonna say that I've worn these for a year of moderate urban trekking and the rubber sole has worn down through to the foam footbed. These aren't worth paying retail for. Shell out for the Quoddys.
