Hi All,

I just caught some of the BBC's Bottom Line business broadcast (how's that for alliteration), and Deborah Meaden has bought into a clothmakers - Fox Brothers & Co.

What is Fox's reputation like?

They're good. I have a Fox flannel houndstooth suit that has a very nice hand and heft to it.

From what I gather they're well known for their flannels, maybe not so much for other types.

This is old news. Fox flannels were known for being 'porous' and lightweight, well for flannel anyway. They made the cloth for the suit [Poole?] that Churchill is wearing in that famous picture were he is holding a Thompson machine gun. Nice stuff.

They're also the source for several of A&S's house special flannels.

I'm going to use another one for my second A&S flannel.

I believe Michael Alden has used them for some London Lounge commissions in the past as well. I have some flannel from them that I haven't done up yet, but I can tell it's very well made.
