Items Lost on Ebay

Hello everyone, despite a couple of small posts, I am pretty new to the forum. This is my first thread. I have bought many things on ebay, and I have lost a number of diamonds in the rough. Sometimes I slept through the end of an auction, other times I just forgot to bid. I was wondering if anyone has had any items that they either initially let go, or lost that they truly regret not buying?

Some of mine were:

1) An amazing Zegna tie
2) A Pineider Organizer (I recently acquired another one though)
3) A Pineider Pen
4) An Isaia Polo
5) Ferragamo Tramezza Oxfords

And so on...

Hail Caesar, those of us about to lie salute you! I have no regrets about things I've missed on Ebay. But things I bought, that's another story.

Yeah, I've regretted far more that I've bought than I lost but there have been a few things, mostly a WWII field jacket in my size, some sports jackets and a tie.

Hail Caesar! True enough. For a lot of the items I buy on ebay, I need a grace period to grow to either love it or hate it. I bought some Artioli shoes that took me a bit to love.

I missed a bid on a pair of JL Phillip alligator belly shoes that were only worn a handful of times. Ended at like $575. I was mad for a week after that.

I regret very few losses. The two that spring to mind are: (1) NIB Edward Green golf shoes in a lovely light navy and white saddle in my size on 202 last; and (2) Nakashima bed.

I regret both because I got a little cheap and perhaps would've won had I gone out of my comfort zone, and because both were somewhat unique. Other stuff re-occurs often enough that I can usually find something like it again.
