Time to hem the Nudie

Just picked up a pair of Straight Sven Dry Selvage and Slim Jim Broken Twill. As these are my first ever pairs of Nudie, is to wise to hem then before soak or wash ? Inseam for both pairs are 34, and the correct inseam for my other jeans are 29.5 - 30. I tried folding them on the hem, but it take many folds and it looks like a leg weight. So if i hem it to 30 inseam now, how much shrinkage will i see once i soak or wash the jeans? or hem to a length that can shrink to a 30 inseam later on?

Use the sticky threads. You did not need to create a new thread for this simple question. Always hem after soaking.

Noob question: I'm just curious, what does hemming a pair of jeans mean? What's the purpose?

Hello noobs, hemming your jeams simply means altering the inseam length (leg length). I would go ahead and hem them to a 31 inch.... the nudies wont shrink too much, stretch the inseam once you get them wet before they dry.
