Purchase: Yes or No - Page 3

I hadn't worn a DB suit in about 13 years when I bought a nearly identical suit made by Corneliani (6x2, navy hairline stripe, S120s...) and I am also a 38R. FWIW, I don't think the lapels are too wide. That is the classic DB look, not the narrow DB lapels on hipster suits you see now and that will look dated in a couple of years.

I love my DB suit. It feels great wearing, a true power suit, and the whole point of a DB is to keep it buttoned all the time. I button both when standing and keep one buttoned when sitting. It looks smashing when seated and better than an open SB ever will. If it feels constricted as someone mentioned then it either fits poorly or is a cheap suit. These suits need a spread collar shirt imo (FC is better too). My only problem is that, depending on your line of work, I don't have enough occasions to wear it as I don't really wear suits to work and a DB would look far too formal on a university campus.

Go for it I say!!

First off the internet, only reason I'm considering it is because I have two Isaia 38's that fit perfect.

I think it's a good looking suit. I think I'm getting to the point where I could justify a DB suit in my wardrobe. Unfortunately, I don't run across much in the way of OTR suits that fit well.

It's an ok suit at an ok price, so get it if you love it.

Yes to price and Yes to fabric and cut. I love that suit.

I'm curious as to how a suit would have anything to do with political affiliation. If Isaia makes me feel like a Democrat, well, good deal since I already am one.

I tend to stay out of most other subforums, especially the one that contains political talk.
