It's actually getting good reviews as compared to the original...almost a scene-for-scene shot apparently.

I might have to put aside my hate to go and actually see for myself.

I saw some trailers for this one a while back and it looked interesting. I would have like to check it out at the TIFF but didn't get a chance.

Check out the original. Great movie.

I thought the reason they decided to reshoot it was to do a different take on the storyline tho. Still, will probably see it just because the original was good.

As much as I like the idea of seeing an otherwise interesting film trimmed of its pedophilia, I don't know if it's worth 10 dollars and 2 hours of my time.

The original was pretty good.

Wonder if they left the dressing scene in. It made for some interesting speculation wrt the background story, but is not really amerifriendly

The swedish original was terrific - highly recommended. A fine addition to the list of great horror movies.

Could anybody who's seen the original and the remake chime in and compare the two please?

haven't seen the original, but i saw this last night. A pretty whatever movie in my opinion. The trailers made the movie seem visually appealing for a horror movie of it's sort, but it wasn't scary or interesting honestly. not worth your time or money, but that's just my opinion.

It's not actually a horror movie though. One of the key characters just happens to be a vampire.

The original is fantastic, pedophilic undertones (or overtones) notwithstanding. http://cgi.ebay.com/Let-Right-One-Bl...item1e5a16673b

The book is actually best because there's lots in there that is not shown in the movie.

I caught an AM show this morning. It was excellent. If I hadn't seen the foreign orginal, I'd be calling Let Me In the best vampire movie ever made.

Both films are far superior to the book, which despite its great concept, is Steven King quality.
