Introducing Corter Leather Goods
cor1.jpg

Corter Leather is an up-and-coming leather accessory label based in Boston, Massachusetts. Corter is a one-man operation and every piece is hand-cut and hand-made by leather expert Eric Heins. Holes are hand punched, rivets and hardware set by mallet, sewing done by hand, dying and oiling done in-house, and every piece made by memory without the use of patterns or stencils, thus every piece is unique. Here are few pieces we will be carrying this season and more details will be posted soon!

Both will be added to specification on our site by the end of the weekend. Thank you for the input!

Price is fair.

Belt is nice.

Are the buckles held on by snaps? Any offerings in solid brass?

Please dont take this as an insult, but the buckles and keeper look cheap imo. Good otherwise.

I am checking with the designer on solid brass buckles. Buckles used on the current stock are nickel-plated roller buckles with keepers and secured by matching nickel-plated Chicago screws.

Over time vegetable tanned leather will age and develop characteristics from sunlight and exposure to elements, oil from hands, and everyday abuse. The above shows 2 Corter leather bracelets. One is brand new in a natural color. The other is the same natural color bracelet after 1 year of wear. This is the type of color that can be achieved on Corter natural colored leather goods.

I can't comment on the quality yet, but I emailed Corter with a question and got a response from the maker within the hour (and another quick response after a follow-up question), a nice feature of a small enterprise.
I ordered one of his $32 grab bag sales (bracelet and a myster item), so I'll be back once they've arrived to comment on quality.

Corter has been around for a while. I don't think Corter does much to set it apart from Tanner or Unlucky but they are all very solid products.

As far as I know, Corter and Unlucky are one-man operations, and everything from stitches to rivets are done by hand.
With Unlucky, everything is pretty much customised, from the leather to the finish.
Tanner is more commercial, and much of the stitching on their mainline wallets, etc are machined.

i like the fact that he uses chicago screws, with tanner using snaps, imo, it just seems less sturdy.

His belts sorely needs some edge finishing. Compared to Unlucky or Tanner, Corter has catching up to do
