Yeah I bought two since I finally didn't miss out and not a single item I liked

And what bugs me is that he'll reply on instagram quick but emails don't go answered ever. And he'll post his expeditions for the day, which half the time seems to be all he is doing

Two years ago it was ok, quick communication and shipping but now it's pretty poor.

I have a few belts that I'm happy with but not sure I'd order direct in future

I feel the same way.
I totally appreciate that it's a one man operation, he's doing his thing, etc.

Still, when I first emailed him about my broken keyhook he didn't respond. Followed up a week later, having ordered two grab bags at that point, with the suggestion that he just ship my replacement along with my grab bags, and was told "replacements are processed separately".

But isn't Corter Leather just one dude making shit and then mailing it out?

So the same dude who filled my grab bags with two key hooks is sending me another replacement key hook. At a later date. And in a separate package.

Awesome.

I'm all for small biz owners thriving, but "artisanal leather goods" is a pretty saturated market at the moment. Plenty of other options out there.

this will seriously be the first and last time im getting a winter bag from him...

Not sure what people expected... the grab bags are used to dump junky extras.

In my winter grab bag I got a Brass bottlehook (which I really wanted and like, too bad there is no ring and leather tag) and a standard cardholder in a brown-yellowish leather with the inside piece being a green leather. IMO ugly..ha. still worth it in my eyes considering a usual bottlehook is basically the same price as the bag

Seems like I never realized this till I bought the damn bag. I never was interested in corters stuff till the bag, so now I will probably just go back to being disinterested in the brand, like before.

Reading these last few posts is kinda a bummer. I was considering his stuff...

The lanyard seems to be some sort of keychain, which is how I've used it.

As far as the key ring on the wallet, I suppose it could be useful if you tether it to your belt or something.

If anyone would like to trade a wallet from their grab bag for the passport holder I posted above, let me know.

He actually has a fulfillment center that ships his orders. That might be why.

oh, so you know him?

regardless, glad to see that you got a grab bag with useful items that aren't redundant.

I don't know him personally, but I corresponded with him about a year back when I was trying to sort something out with a copper bracelet. Eh. on redundant. I have one of each of these already in one form or another. Not sure what I will be keeping.

This is my haul from the new grab bag. I have to say, I am really impressed. The pictures are the individual orders. In the end, a saddle tan iPhone case, two card holders (natural, color 8), a belt loop (natural), and two bottle hooks - silver and brass.

I was really unimpressed with the winter one and swore off buying another but relented. This is amazing.

If anyone has a travel wallet or a passport holder, I am in for trades
