I love the movie Heat and I know that Kane and Lynch Dead Men features a very similar bank heist to the one in Heat, but the game overall isn't great. So are there any other video games that essentially rip off Heat?

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

There's a bank robbery in GTA 4, which is quite insane. ^Hitman is a great game, but I think this kid wants something more mindless.
No not mindless, but Kane and Lynch is the only game I know of where the creators admitting to being influenced by Michael Mann. I will try GTA4. You would think there would be a ton of games which feature a crew robbing banks, casino's, (Heat meets a more violent Ocean's 11), etc.
I find that there are too many mafia/crime games outside of GTA, that take place in the 30's and 40's. I want a modern day sophisticated crime game, where the characters are not mindles punks robbing and killing for the hell of it, but calculated professionals like De Niro and his crew in Heat.

Sorry, didn't mean that as an insult.
I didn't take it as one. I figured you meant that I just wanted a game with no real story or things to do besides robbing banks and killing cops.
I did check out some video clips of GTA4's bank mission and it looks awesome. I have played GTA3 and Vice City, but none of the other ones.
In terms of the characters and missions in GTA4, are they more the calcuated professional criminal type or is it the usual dumb stereotypical mafia tough guy thing featured in so many games and the bank mission doesn't reflect the rest of the game.
