according to the maker: maftei/vienna, the best woven leather comes from italy. it seems c&j used the same source, as not many suppliers are still available nowadays.

I think there are still some from the Purple collection in a few of the shops, at least when I bought these in June and I believe I saw some at Rose & Born a month ago

Nice boots.  I contacted C&J mail order and they don't have any Avebury left but offered MTO.
