We just moved and our gas is off until at least Friday. Any ideas on what I should make sans heat? I have a panini press, a blender, and a food processor, among some other little appliances. I was thinking of using that great gazpacho recipe again, some sandwiches and salads, maybe a ceviche. thoughts or recipes? halp.

Mmm grilled cheese (toaster) and soup in the microwave! One of my favorites not in the toaster but gotta do what you gotta do!

Spice some chicken breast paillards with a pseudo-kebab spice and cook in your foreman or a panini press, make some hummus in your blender, make tabouleh or a salad of cucumbers, tomato, olives, onion, parsley and lemon juice, toast some store bought pitas, maybe make a yoghurt sauce.

you could go out and get a BBQ grill and just grill all week too.

If you're in LA, go get yourself a $5-$10 personal rice cooker and a bag of good rice. Easy hot meals anytime

Perfect excuse to eat out all week or takeaway's If the kettle is working you can always go the insta-soup, noodle way or then stick to sandwiches..

Ah, what I meant was they'd be readily available at a CVS or Walgreens there, as opposed to somewhere like Wyoming or Montana where I think they'd be a little harder to find.
