Need hairstyle suggestions & some other advicex`

Ok to start this off this is a photo of me that I just took 5 mins ago:



It's quite obvious that I'm not looking that great right now, which is why I need suggestions for a new hairstyle. The problem is that I'm not sure how to go about finding a hairstyle that fits my face, so I was wondering if you guys here could help me.

Also answer these questions if you don't mind. Just so I have a better idea:

1) Should I replace the glasses with contacts or use thicker, darker rimmed ones?
2) How old do I look?

essential man http://theessentialman.tumblr.com/ recommend incredibly short on sides and barely anything on top or ryuichi sakamoto

Eh, I don't think that hairstyle in the photo fits me very well.

Your face shape is a bit roundish so you should have a hairstyle that diverts the focus on the round shape of the face. This can be achieved by having short hair on the sides and back that gradually increases in length on the top to create an illusion of a longer face. You should do away with the glasses, it makes you look geeky and boyish.

Alright, thanks for the replies. Gonna reply to some of your posts: @Broin: I'd rather not cut my hair myself, and there's quite a few good hair dressers about a 30 minute drive from where I live. That and I need a shorter low maintenance cut, like a cut where I just wash my hair, rearrange it for less than a minute and it's all set. @Kellie Dobbie: Can you show me a picture of what you mean? And as for the glasses suggestion that's a good idea. I've been told a lot by family & friends to do away with them but I'm not sure whether to swap them or just replace with contacts altogether.
