I googled 18th century mens hair and it's all pictures and descriptions of wigs. The only reference to hair that wasnt a wig was this, from wiki btw, [wig stuff]or the hair was worn long and powdered, brushed back from the forehead and clubbed (tied back at the nape of the neck) with a black ribbon. So go watch Master and Commander to get an idea of how that works I suppose. I seem to remember Crowe having his hair like that in the movie. Btw your hair has to be long to do this. Probably around 10-12 inches at your bangs. If it isn't long enough your bangs will not stay tied down in that knot. I said wig because it's a whole lot easier than waiting 2 years for your hair to grow out like that. Not because I wanted to play the internet asshole game. It probably isn't going to look 18th century anyways unless you dress the part too(lol).

I'm just curious why you came to styleforum to ask this instead of colonialreenactmentforum. Literally no one on here is into this sorta shit, we're "trolling" because we legitimately cannot help you one bit.
