Nudie jeans

Pardon my n00b experiences with Denim, but I've been hearing a lot about Nudie jeans and seen a lot of them posted on the forums. What makes these special from any other designer jeans? Is the care needed for these jeans any different from other brands...say, R&R and Seven for all mankind?

Do a search and come up with your own opinion. We here to give you help when you need it, but the sodding search button is at the top of the page. And you wouldn't be a bloody noob if you bothered to read and reasearch the forum before asking questions.

Relax with the newbie, guys.

Nudie jeans are a large company (compared to other niche makers) based in Sweden. They have a wide variety of cuts and washes, but most of the discussion here is confined to the raw, (usually selvedge.) models - the Regular Ralph Dry Selvage (RRDS) being the most discussed, and the Sven, Bootcut Ola, and recently, Thin Finns, also being discussed.

Dry (or raw) denim is denim in it's unwashed state. Most people wear them for prolonged periods before washing them to get "wear" on the jeans (i.e. the fading in the thighs and butt and the whiskers and striation that occur from prolonged wear).

If you want more information, the treatment of raw denim has been discussed ad nauseam. The search function is your friend.
