I don't want to hear about playoff pain from Canucks fans or fans of any team other than the Washington Capitals. The Caps have blown two-game series leads seven times. Try to top that.

Blowing a 3-0 series lead as the Presidents Trophy winner to an 8th seed who also happens to be your mortal sworn enemy who only squeaked into the playoffs due to another team losing is probably the most epic collapse ever. That this would be the third consecutive time losing to said team in the playoffs is icing on the cake. The Caps losing is underachieving... the Canucks losing is misery of the highest form. edit: And last year was the result of voodoo witchcraft and sorcery on the part of Halak. Can't really blame the Caps for that one... he put up one of the best post-season goaltending larceny jobs ever.

Why did everyone think that a Vancouver series victory over Chicago was a foregone conclusion? Chicago is the defending Stanley Cup champion, not a team happy to be in the playoffs.

It is actually worse than I thought...why the hell is Scotty Bowman having 'meetings' with Schick??

http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Op...385/story.html

PS I am not Gillis, but I'd like to have his money... it is obvious to anyone who is paying attention, and is being honest, that the officiating in this series has been beyond crap. And not 'oh that call was crap... these refs suck' kind of stuff either... but a ridiculous slanting of calls for one team.

Anyways, no matter what, my opinion of the NHL has gone down significantly in the last few years...and this does nothing to help. Belive it or not, I think the Canucks will win tonight, pretty convincingly too...but we'll see if Luongo earns his 10 million.

I can't wait for tonight's game. The story line is just too good to not get excited.

One would imagine that the Defending SC champs wouldn't be relying on Minnesota to get into the playoffs in the first place though.

Shh, you're being a conspiracy theorist.

I won't even know what to do with myself if the Canucks lose, these last three games have been unbearable.

HUGE night tonight.

I can honestly say that I'm far more excited for the Vancouver/Chicago game than Boston/MTL. The Vancouver/Chicago series has been awesome and there's so many subplots going on. A Canucks loss here would be one of the most devastating losses for a franchise in the last 20 years, when you think about it. Absolutely massive game. Everything else gets second billing tonight.

I think the Canucks will come out flying tonight. Chicago needs to weather the storm early and then settle in for the long haul. If I were them I would pepper Luongo with every shot possible as early as possible.

Huge night... but I have concert tix. Luckily they'll be showing the game at the concert.

I don't know what this concert is, but screw it! This is the most important game in Canucks history (aside from game 7, 1994) and you may witness the most epic collapse in NHL history!

Come on, man!

Big time. But when you let Chris Lee ref a playoff game, you have to be ready for some seriously bad calls/no calls.
