is waist suppression reversible? i don't know-- depends on whether he left the fabric ends in there

Yeah it is reversible but I think the tailor took it in around 4-5", I will have to try a different tailor I guess!

Yes, try a different tailor. I had to have a tailor undo severe suppression from another tailor, fortunately it turned out ok.
