A few grooming questions

I'm in the middle of making major changes to my image (Both clothes style and hair etc.) so I thaught I'd ask some questions that I hope will make the image change even more successful.

Firstly face skin care routine. I've always washed my face with Clean & Clear oil free deep action cream wash but never used moisturisers/toners etc. What would you recomend as a skin care routine for someone with oily/sensitive skin? I've just finished a roaccutane course so I have less spots than last year but there slowly coming back and I want them gone again. My skin is far from perfect and I'm going to the dermatologist next tuesday about red patches and dark circles so I'm hoping that the products you advise (I don't mind paying extra for quality with no harmful ingredients etc.) and his sollution to the redness will leave my skin in much better shape.

I'm going to the dentist soon to ask about getting my teeth straightened and bleached - what toothbrush would be best to keep them clean, white and healthy?

I'm only a small guy - 5ft9 and just under 10 stone (approximatly 136lb's for those from the USA) and I'm trying to gain weight. I'm now eating over 3500 calories a day and was wondering if this amount of food will be bad for the skin? Also I'm hoping to gain weight in the face as it's a bit gaunt at the minute what are the best Jack Lalanne face excercises for the jawline/cheeks as he has many on the videos.

Finally I get alot of compliments off girls about my eyes - is there any way to put more emphasis on them as obviously I want to enhance my best features.

Sorry for all the questions - thanks in advance to those who take the time to answer.

see how this haircut compliments the face? get a haircut that is worth your money, thats how to make your eyes standout.. i spend $40 + tip. short on the sides is a good choice get a natural soap sold at any Whole foods type grocer. use that for your face in the shower. you could get an electronic toothbrush if you want to. the food you eat will contribute to redness in your skin so eat healthy to compensate. i'm 5.9 trying to do alot of the same things youre mentioning.

You get what ya pay for in a haircut, so spend a bit. I really like aveda products for hair. As or the face, I've used Kiehls mens line or about 7 years with positive results.

IMO, the #1 thing you can do for your face is demand that your dermatologist give you a product with tretinoin. Not sure what the choices are like where you live but it is by prescription only here in the states. Retin A is a brand name. Generics are available which may save you some money. I've gotten 5 huge tubes of Ziana (another brand name product with tretinoin which also contains another helpful ingredient, clindamycin) for a total of $60 or someting ridiculous like that with manufacturer coupons my dermatologist gave me.

Get custom whitening trays. The dentist will charge in the neighborhood of $300 for these. You can find places online that cut out the dentist. They send you the putty and trays (not the whitening trays but trays needed to make the trays). You mix the putty, put it in the trays, bite down, send the impressions back and they send you whitening trays in a week or so. I got two sets of trays and some carbamide peroxide whitening agent for $50. From there on you just need to spend $4-5 (it's readily available on ebay and according to a dentist friend just as effective as name brand stuff such as Nite White... i just got some for $4 including shipping) for additional whitening stuff every 6 months to a year to keep them white.

Straightening is more complicated and expensive. Talk to your dentist.

For washing:
Hair - I use American Crew daily shampoo and stimulating conditiner.
Face - Cetaphil gently daily face wash for normal to oily skin.
Body - Cetaphil bar of soap.
Lotions:
Face - Clarin's for Men anti-aging moisturizing lotion (applied in morning after shower)
Eyed - Claron's for Men undereye serum (morning after shower)
Body - Burt's Bees aloe and Buttermilk lotion (nighttime after shower)
Face - PureFusion organic mousturizing cream (nighttime after shower)

Toothbrush - Crest spinbrush. I highly recommend using crest white strips to maintain your white colour, they work great.

Keep in mind I had oily, sensative skin in my life. I was on accutane and it cleared all my acne up. All of these products are gentle and work for my skin (irish type skin)

I recommend using organic products as much as possible for any product youll be using on a daily basis.

Good luck with your transformation!
Exciting times...

Any advice for the facial excercises to fill out the chheks & jawline?

Clarins do a good line in skin cleansers and moisturisers, and I used them for a while. I also use Elemis, but think Clarins is winning out now.

remember to exfoliate once a week though, and the foaming cleanser is good, followed by moisturiser. Also, quite note, when changing products you may get breakout for a week or so, i would recommend a touch up to cover this. again ask in clarins about this

Hope this helps
