Well... I'm going to take all the advice with me to Austin tomorrow! I'll tell you guys how it goes. I'm getting in at 10 pm tomorrow... so I'm gonna head straight to the places on West 6th street if you don't tell me otherwise.

Don't know if anyone mentioned Manuels yet, but the one on Congress has the best mole I've had:

Saw you mention you have a lawyer seminar, if it's at the law school let me know. I'm a 2L and will generally be around there.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but East Side Cafe is pretty good for the eat-local type (they have their own garden and what not). It's on Manor Rd, which is Dean Keaton east of I35 (living on the east side makes me rather partial to stuff over here).

Do not agree, at all, with the Cafe Medici rec, though maybe that's just me. Houndstooth on Lamar at 38th has much better coffee, even if it is staffed with pretentious coffee folks (nothing against pretentious coffee folks). Also, the Whole Foods on 6th and Lamar can be fun, just because it's the flagship store.

Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately it is at the convention center.

I am going to Austin this Thursday. What is the dress code for Austin bars? Can I wear jeans and sneakers, or should I wear something dressier?

No one's mentioned Texas Chili Parlor?
I'm sorry, but I love that place.
