Havent the lakers had enough free trades? Geez.

Stern did the right thing. He stopped the kid from taking candy from the baby.

Yup. for a "team vice president" (largely honorary i think), he's been really outspoken.

i think that was a pretty fair trade. gasol's a blue-chipper. odom's a blue-chipper (when he plays). i think cp3 would have been a great addition, not just because he could get kobe the ball in the right spots, but because he wouldn't defer to kobe and would get bynum the ball. bynum is immature in a lot of ways, but look at how he performs most nights he gets touches. his weakness is pouting when he doesn't get them and not being assertive enough at demanding the ball when he should be getting it by rights.

Ha. Odom might have been a blue chip once (although I doubt it) , but he was worse than useless in Dallas. The team actually got better when they cut him.

Kobe taking over, has 15 of Laker first 19pts. Really hope this doesn't bite them in the ass in the end. Shooting 6-8 though so not bad for now.

ohohoho...refs really gave the Lakers one there. shoulda been 3 fouls on Kobe in the first quarter

Ugh, cannot stand Reggie Miller as a commentator...

"When you beat teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Heat...." ffffuuuu.gif

I thought he said NY Yankees, not MIami Heat

You maybe right... I was lost when he through the Cowboys in the mix. Then he went on to explain that they are the franchises of the sports. Still doesn't take away that he is awful. Along with Chris Webber.
