Anyone lip read what Wade and Spoelstra said to each other yet?

edit: a few reports have him saying "get the fuck out of my face" but he said a lot more than that.

After that incident they panned the camera on Spoelstra and he looked totally emasculated. That team has never respected him. Problem is he gets out-coached and the players know it.

Wade needs to shut the fuck up. he was a flat out embarrassment last night. it wasn't just Spoelstra that was yelling at him to get his head out of his ass, his teammates had words with him too. he gave up on his team and everyone noticed.

frankly, the dude is THE sports god in Miami (like Kobe is to LA) - and we all expect far more from someone like that

Great defense causes lots of frustration. The Pacers played their best game of the playoffs, West, Granger, George, Hibbert, Collison and Hill all had great games. The overall balance and speed that the Pacers bring to the court is impressive. Hibbert had a break out career game that was amazing. The defense of Paul George was the primary cause of the D. Wade's frustration. Give Pacers Coach Brian Shaw a lot of the credit for helping out on the defensive lock down that the pacers put on Wade and James. Game 4 should be a great game.

San Antonio is playing great games as well, and to me seem to be the team to beat. You could see the frustration in both CP3 and Griffin from Spur defense. This series looks like a sweep. I don't see the Clips being able to find an answer to the balance and inside / outside game that the Spurs provide.

Ummm, not really. Our discussion was that game 1 was close and you disagreed. The Clips kept getting back in the second half of game 1 while in game 2, they were pretty much out of it after the Spurs made a surge in the first 5-6 mins of the second half. Clips never got back and it never felt like they could, unlike game 1. I was never in doubt of the Spur abilities after seeing them wipe-out Utah.

I still think the Clips can win a game or two and make the other games close. Griffin actually made a jumpshot in the last few minutes there, so he can hit that, he just hit a bit too late. They matched-up the 3's much better this time around too. So they are making adjustments, they just need to capitalize more.

And to be honest, that Clips loss didn't look as bad the Heat loss and I am not just saying that because I do not like the Heat much but to see Wade do practically nothing and Lebron Lechoke, that games looked and was just worse.

Wade didn't really have the right to yell at Spoelstra like that though. Dude played like shit. I'd understand if he had 35 points or something but dude was flat out terrible.

+1

SA's in and out game was super effective. Paul again w no ideas. Duncan, old and slow, was sublime. Griffin needed playoffs to expose how overrated he is.

SA v OKC could be an epic series.

Man, you guys are dumb. It's like you don't read what I am writing. All I ever said was the Clips can win a game or two, not the series. But you guys are too stupid to even comprehend that even though I've given the Spurs the credit.

^we'll see how they do today but i do agree that clips can take a home game. they just got to up the defense. i didnt look at the stats but subjectively i felt like spurs were able to get in the paint a lot whereas clips had trouble (even griffin had to resort to jump shots). spurs were good at preemptively preventing lobs by keeping their space

I agree, that was definitely the case with game 2. That's why I was hoping Griffin shoots some of those open Js because it'll open up the lane for the Clips. Clips are terrible in switching defense too outside of Evans, no one is moving on screens and taking the other guy so Parker is able to carve in and out of the lane/paint. It leaves people open in behind the arc and in the paint and they are good at finding those people. Clips learn to do some switching on defense and they'd do much better.

It's baffling though if you look at the stats, Clips shot better 3pt% and ft% (got to the line more too) and shot a much better fg% at 49% to Spurs 54%. That is a vast improvement for the Clips on game 1, CP3 just couldn't get going and was his most inefficient self. No excuses but I do think he is more hurt than the Clips as saying publicly. Those turnovers are the difference though. Bledsoe was also terrible last night, he kept driving and when he gets blocked off he would jump and be forced to throw the ball anywhere and result in a TO. VDN is just such a terrible coach though, Clips really need to get Jerry Sloan in the off season.

i felt last night that spurs did a really excellent job on cp3 and clippers did a pretty good job on parker. you could see cp3 getting visibly frustrated tho, while parker kept his calm and kept looking for the open man with a quick bounce pass through people or a swing outside the arch. but cp3 does have more to prove and he doesn't have as many reliable pieces to play with it as parker does.

also clippers still really have no weakside action on offense. they set up a high pick and roll and everybody else besides blake and deandre just waits to see if cp3 passes the ball out to them for a trey.

i noticed blake has really great form but for some reason his shots (ft and fg) dont fall that well. spurs know this and consistently let him take the jumper. i hope griffin develops his jumper so he can really punish teams that do this.

i just really wish they would trade away some of the overrated players and vdn in the offseason. even if they keep the team they have now they could be a much better team if they just fired vdn
