Ummm, no they didn't. They traded leads in the first half before the Spurs took it back before the half ended. Again, I ask, what game were you watching? The Spurs didn't lead 8 until there was 3 minutes to go in the half before the Clips cut it to 3 at around the 2 minute mark and that was mainly with the starters from both teams.
Now the Spurs bench is blamed for losing the lead when everyone was clamoring how deep they are?
And to note your statement about Pop going with the bench because he didn't feel "threatened", that he didn't do it because he felt confident? Are you serious? He did it to rest his players. I mean seriously, you really think coaches only bench players because they feel they are not threatened by the other? WTF? Obviously there has to be confidence in your bench but if a coach could play their starting 5 for 48minutes straight like if you were playing NBA 2K, I am pretty sure they would.
And if you say they lost the lead because Pop went to the bench with "confidence", then what kind of confidence did they give Pop since to you, the bench was to blame for the Clips catching up? You contradicting yourself there.
But hey, let's look at the confidence inspiring Spurs bench minutes. Manu played 27min and SJax played 20min, understandable, 6th man candidate and a legit starter. What about the rest? 7min for Bonner, Splitter and Neal with 12min each. In comparison to the Clips bench of Bledsoes 27min, Youngs 20min, Martin 23min and Mos 20min. Hmmmm... which coach had more confidence on their bench by those numbers? Pop didn't felt threatened that he player old Duncan 35min and Parker 38min. In comparison, none of the Clips played more than 30min outside of CP3. By those minutes, it looks like the Spurs starters had to beat the Clips bench. So you can't say the Clips caught up only when the Spurs bench played, Clips secondary team bought them as close as single digits with the starters playing horribly.
What if the Spurs had to exert the same energy and the Clips starter actually play well? What then? If the Clips win, then what, you blame the Spurs for not playing defense or being old instead of giving the Clips the credit?
And Steve said earlier Parker won't play bad again, I can say the same for CP3 so I say that's a wash.
And you talk about bets, I'm only confident in them winning a game or two or having close games but your confident about the series and since the Spurs (#1 seed) is the odds on favorite, how about this. You get $10 if the Spurs win the series but if the Clips win the series then I get $100 and since it's such a long shot for the Clips to win and your so sure the Spurs got this in the bag then it should be easy $10 for you. Deal?

The dumbfug you're arguing with doesn't know jack shit about basketball.

Make it $50 and $100 and you're on.

Re benches, Bledsoe played well, concede that. Could argue he was their best player.

Spurs won by 16. Hmmmm.

Ok, you force me to break out the stats.

Spurs shot better FG %
Spurs shot better 3FG%
Spurs shot better FT %

Total Rebounds 34 47 - SPURS
Offensive Rebounds 8 11 - SPURS
Turnovers 15 18 - LA
Fast Break Pts: 17 9 - LA
Biggest Lead: 2 19 - SPURS
Points in the Paint: 30 42 - SPURS
Assists: 19 29 - SPURS
Steals: 11 9 - LA

So LA had a few less turnovers, 2 steals and more fast break points and lost every other category.

Do the stats convince you?

Take the bet, I'm handing you the pot odds.

Like I said, make it $10/$100 and you got a bet. Like I said, I do not predict the Clips to win (I just believe they could) and all I'm trying to prove was how close the game was and that it is closer than it is. You're the one confident in the Spurs winning so you take my bet. Simple as that.

Ok, break out the stats.

3pt Clips 47% - Spurs 52%
FG Clips 45% - Spurs 49%
FT Clips 70% - Spurs 81%

By Clips standard, that ft% is damn good. CP3 did not shoot a single ft either.
3pt, well Spurs leads the NBA in that apparently but that isn't a bit difference there. Spurs hit 13 of 25 and Clips hit 9 of 19. Not a big difference. They shot more and made more. Tying it to FG, it is just as good really considering some of those shots were forced 3's to get the lea back in the end.

Already discussed the transition 3.

Again, despite all those stats, the Clips were right there til about last 2-3 minutes. It was closer than most of you expected, admit it.

Damn, terrible last minute for the Lakers. facepalm.gif
2 key turnovers and let Harden drive at will.

Just wow!

Games done, Durant just has to miss the second ft and time runs out.

Put blame on Kobe too, bad turnovers on him in that last minute.

lol8[1].gif How nice of them to give the Lakers hope on that one.
