Laker got Pau for Kwame so anything is possible.

I think my subconscious mind was projecting. My conscious mind tells me that KG has been due for an on court beat down since 2007. Too bad Anthony Peeler is out of the league. Oh, and ohai 10 game Heat win streak!!

I feel like you're trolling but I'll bite. Who exactly have you beaten on this 10 game winning streak?

Only three of those teams have a winning record (Hawks, Jazz, Hornets).

The pair were at a gift-wrapping event at a local Boys and Girls Club, when Obama, a longtime Chicago Bulls fan, launched a friendly salvo over Bryant's bow.

"Derrick Rose may have your number," the commander-in-chief said to Bryant.

Mamba immediately fired back with a snappy response of his own, saying "If he calls that number, I'll be sure to pick up after the fifth ring," a reference to Bryant's five NBA titles.

Kobe owned the prez.

And the rights to Marc Gasol. But a robbery by Mitch nonetheless!

Fuck that NY Boston game was great. I almost fell off the treadmill when Amare hit that game ending 3. Couldn't believe it didn't count.

^ yeah, definitely a great game. The rivalry talk is kind of stupid, but I'm glad to see that the C's might have some intense (and close) games with other teams in the division this season.

plus well, amare was a stud... maybe instead of carmelo, they should pry away steve nash and bring back the whole Top Gun crew for a sequel. (the captain [di antoni], ice man [amare], and maverick [nash], meg ryan [gallanari ])

nash lives here anyways - i remember walking on Christie street last year in chinatown and told my wife "you know steve nash lives here and plays soccer on those courts" and she was like "yeah i think thats him" he was standing watching a bike polo match with a hot piece of ass (probable reason for divorce).

the way i see it, is that everyone makes it out as it was a steal for the lakers. Yeah, basically in hindsight though it worked out like that.

however, at the time of deal, it looked like an even trade (here's a copy/paste as i dont recall the details):

The Lakers will also receive the Grizzlies second round draft choice in 2010. In exchange Memphis will receive forward Kwame Brown, guard Javaris Crittenton, guard Aaron McKie (who the Lakers signed earlier today), the draft rights to Marc Gasol and first round picks in 2008 and 2010.

rights to marc gasol and first round picks and the other three (which are negligible somewhat), but that doesnt sound like a steal to me AT the time of the trade.

and we all know how well marc is playing too. actually for the point of having more strength in the middle (as pau gets limpy in the 4th) i sometimes wonder what marc would have done for us

Nah, Marc can be good but he isn't Pau. We have Bynum (yeah his been hurt) for what Marc could do. Plus Odom has been playing like an All-Star this year. Marc isn't a scoring threat like Pau is so they wouldn't have won that championship.

I forget but are $20 donator? As a commissioner, I want to keep that trade fair and I have been thinking about it every since I got the e-mail last night but I am just not sure what to do. If you are part of the trade, I think you can cancel it yourself. And fuck, I really need to pay attention to the league, I can't believe I let Taj Gibson slip pass me like that. And damn you Soowoop, I was going to give Webster a game or two before deciding but you just got to snatch em up with quickness as usual.

Amare was a beast last night too bad he had to stroke that 3 at the buzzer. Knicks are a force to be reckoned with!
