BTW, I cringe every time I hear that name. The announcers must really hate him.

Yeah, Bynum was overjoyed, nice to see that.

1. I watch maybe five games a season.
2. I couldn't give a flying fuck about the Lakers, Celtics, or any other NBA team.
3. Ron Artest, though, is a pretty scummy player. But it's not like he has a history of fighting people or anything though amiright?
4. While minor, the thing that reminded me why I hate him is his randomly tackling Rondo in the middle of the game.

But hey, keep on bro-ing on the lakers guys, whatever makes you happy.

I actually despise Laker (fans). Anyhow, this is a great read about the Malice at the Palace if you're basing your opinion of Ron Artest from that infamous brawl.

Actually I'm basing it off his repeated history of punching, elbowing, etc. well beyond what I consider acceptable play. The dude plays like he's shooting some street ball with his bros down at the local park.

From a two minute google search (plus watching the actual highlights):

Also I hate Lamar Odom because he, too, is a piece of shit.

There does seem to be a pretty heavy amount of laker love here.

Same for the knicks, although it wasnt here before lin so not sure if its the azns diving in.

are you saying AZNs are being jeremy lin squatters in this thread?

people of all races joined the lin bandwagon squatting if my memory from one month ago serves me right.

lin has actually played well throughout the whole thing... its just that the knicks are losing.

here are his actual stats: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/linje01.html

check out his 2011 stats so far... and his per 36min stats are solid too. 15pts and 6assist/game or is 20pts and 8.6ast/per 36min are awesome stats considering.

Knicks could sure use Artest, I'd galdly trade Melo to the Lakers for him.

Nah. I'd rather trade Amare than Melo. Melo might be an idiot, but at least he's not literally falling apart before our eyes. Uninsured contract? Great move!

yeah but Melo would be worth more now as a trade and Melo is the type of player (can take anyone off the dribble, typically able to shoot over his man easily, slasher) that many GM's stupidly fall in love with, he looks great on paper but you'll never win with him. Stat is definitely not the player he was but he can develop a back to the basket game if he wanted (think larry johnson). While we are at it, we might as well just trade both of those guys, You only need one legitimate interior scorer, Chandler and someone else that crashes boards can get garbage points and the flow will be a lot better. Of course, D'Antoni is probably the first person that we need to ger rid of. Would love to see this team under Riley or even Van Gumby.

Knicks looked better when they were both out injured. That version reminded me of the Sixers or Jazz.

Oh man oh man oh man oh man!!!!! Just plain disgusting!

And again, damn! I don't really care if Lebron can be creative with a dunk, I'd like to see him in the contest. Look at this give of his dunk at the ASG. Looks like the Prince dunk on the Chappelle show skit, thing is insane.
