Why is Atlanta doing so good??? I don't get any Hawks games here in SOCAL.
The roster looks pretty weak. They don't look like a 15-6 team on paper.

this is interesting:

Dwight Howard open to being a Bull

the bulls potentially have the best package for howard theoretically...

honestly i want to see chris paul and dwight howard together. i think that would be awesome. two of the hardest working faithful all stars combining forces to finally get a ring

why do you say bulls have the best package for dwight?

the hawks are 3rd in games played together (josh smith, joe johnson, marvin williams, and later al horford, i think after lakers and celtics). they're old but they got great chemistry and they still produce. core four is super underrated and jeff teague is one of the best up and coming PGs in the game (top 5 most steals in the game, great assist numbers), willie green is great, tmac looks old on paper but produces surprisingly well this season, great bench

i think there's not a lot of media interest because they're old, not athletic, not flashy and it's atlanta. they've also played good teams and won (1-1 with heat and bulls)

i'm also very surprised they're doing so well even without horford (6-1 without him). hopefully he'll get back in time for playoffs

they are a good team. (i've been betting on them a lot.. and they cover the spread consistently so i LOVE them).

josh smith is actually an ALL-NBA talent... he's like what Demarcus Cousins would be if he was just a liiiiittle bit less crazy...the best part about josh smith's crazy-ness is that its all basketball related (nothing off court or serious)- meaning the stupid plays he pulls out of his ass are actually things that might actually make sense basketball wise but just not the right time or place... his athletic ability is right up there with blake griffin.

joe johnson is basically paul pierce 2.0...

everyone else just feeds of each other... you can tell they have that weird team chemistry where they might not even like each other personally but at some point they get the good basketball mojo going and they feed right into it (usually means lockdown D then super unselfish offensive sets).

this is pretty spot on. the way they play their games is what you'd hope to see in a lot of the young teams

Lakers show interest in Cavs’ Sessions

The Los Angeles Lakers have talked with the Cleveland Cavaliers about possibly acquiring guard Ramon Sessions, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

No deal is imminent, but the Lakers view Sessions as a candidate who could help their depleted backcourt.

The Lakers are without injured guard Steve Blake, and have relied heavily on rookies Andrew Goudelock and Darius Morris to play behind 37-year-old Derek Fisher.

The Lakers have an $8.9 million trade exception, acquired from the Dallas Mavericks for Lamar Odom, to absorb salary. Sessions makes $4.3 million this season and has a player option for $4.6 million for the 2012-13 season.

Cleveland is interested in stockpiling draft picks in potential deals, sources said. Several teams have inquired about Sessions lately, front-office sources said. The Lakers have a handful of players on short-term deals who can’t be traded until March 1.

Sessions has been a career 45-percent shooter, but has struggled this season in limited minutes behind No. 1 overall pick Kyrie Irving. Sessions shooting 34 percent and averaging 9.1 points.

After two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Sessions signed a four year, $16 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves prior to the 2009-10 season. A year later, he was traded to the Cavaliers. He had his best season with Cleveland in 2010-11, averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds a game.

The Lakers also worked out veteran NBA guard Morris Peterson several days ago, sources said. As first reported by Hoopsworld.com, the Lakers have discussed the possibility of signing veteran guard Gilbert Arenas, sources said. He’s been working out in Florida, but no one in the Lakers organization has seen him lately to gauge the kind of shape he’s in. There’s significant resistance in some parts of the Lakers’ front office and locker room to signing Arenas, but there’s also a sense it won’t hurt to at least evaluate him.
