NBA 2016-2017 Season Thread - Page 306

word is the Lakers may swing a 3-way trade to get Paul with only giving up Gasol. that would leave the Bynum/Odom for Howard option still open.

also, at $14.5M, no one is going to trade for billups.

Hand them the chip now!!!!!

if the Lakers end up with Paul/Kobe/Howard and end up playing against Miami in the finals, Stern is going to orgasm to death.

it also points towards signs of the knicks possibly trading amare or carmelo for chris paul now. you can actually give up carmelo and be a better knicks team with CP3, amare, and chandler who all know how to move/score without the ball (through pick and roll ect).
Doesn't this practically ensure that CP3 goes to the Knicks?
I read that he wants two things: to go to the Knicks and to play with Chandler.

But who do the Knicks have to deal? Nobody, really.

We'll miss Shannon, and I wish Caron was coming to us rather than the Clippers. Love both those guys.

Plus they promised those two that they will keep them, don't think the Knicks has the balls to get rid of either one.
Yeah, they can't deal either of those guys, so how do they get CP3?

With what other team?
Which players involved?

i'd imagine the Lakers would have to swing another 3-way to get Dwight though because Bynum alone is not enough.

Yeah. just saw that. Wow. The Lakers give up a lot, though.

The Los Angeles Lakers are nearing an agreement to acquire All-Star point guard Chris Paul in a three-team trade that will cost them Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Lakers are finalizing the trade with the New Orleans Hornets and Houston Rockets. Under the terms of the deal, the Lakers would send Gasol to the Rockets. The Hornets would receive Odom, Rockets guards Kevin Martin and Goran Dragic and forward Luis Scola, league sources said.

I think they have to go after Howard now.

Walton & Bynum for Howard. Do it Mitch!!!

Butler for the Clips is interesting. I just hope he stays healthy enough to actually play some games.

Jesus that's an awful trade for NO.

Who are the Lakers going to have on their bench now?

They have Blake and Barnes (assuming he re-signs?). Then hopefully Caracter and Ebanks has developed over the summer. Then they'll probably get a scrub center if they get Howard, Mbenga wouldn't be so bad. biggrin.gif
