Durant is just great, on and off the court, backpack or not. That dunk was absolutely sick. What a player.

Westbrook will be fine. He was just over-heated (his tendency, unfortunately) tonight. Brooks is good at his job, Westbrook knows it's a team game. Durant will be cheering the bench right now in the locker room, and Westbrook will understand. He'll have a very good game on Saturday. (I really I hope he does because then I'm going to immediately quote myself. ).

I do agree that between the two, Harden would be better for the Lakers.

Geez, ESPN is making way too big a deal out of this.

PS: Kareem, stop being a damned baby. You'll get your damned statue whenever you get it.

Kareem wants a statue, Durantula is sick. James harden is D Fish with talent. Am drunk....and angry @ lakers for not being involved in the most exciting playoffs ever.

the kareem thing is really sad. one of our writers had a good take on it this morning. through weird circumstances (we both had books come out at the same time) i spent a little bit of time with him and i've got to say that even with my low expectations for professional athletes, he was a disappointment. about as sour a guy as you could imagine. he'd get up in the middle of signings, with people waiting in line, and walk away. every book he signed, he acted like he was doing the person a huge favor. he was certainly a great player, one of the all-time greats, but you can't compare him to magic in any way.

Yes, I thought the Simers article was spot-on.

Kareem has never been very good in public, almost always diffident, but this stance just makes him seem pathetic.

I read that he has a movie coming out. This may be a clever way of getting his name out there.

Wow, Jerry West to the Warriors front office.

It looks like Adelman is the #1 candidate to coach the Lakers, according to CBS.
Mike Dunleavy is terrible at everything. No way he's the next coach. I really think Rick Adelman would be good. Adelman has coached the lights out at Houston the last couple of years. This year they had one of the league's best offenses without anything resembling a superstar. It was a real shame they missed the playoffs.

I really dunno who to root for in DAL-OKC. It's pretty damn tough to dislike OKC but a trip to the finals would mean a lot more for Dirk.

I don't even care who wins anymore, I am just enjoying all these great games.

The game on right now (western conference championship game 3) is not a good one at the moment. Okc looks dispirited as hell. I'm a Mavericks fan to the bone but its not fun to see them blow a team out when that team isnt the Lakers.
