One of those picks plus one of the young guys would have absolutely landed Boogie. Because that offer is 2x what the Pelicans offered. But that's water under the bridge now. Ainge can revisit all this after the season when the draft order is locked in - Butler's still going to be on the market, as is Blake Griffin, and apparently Drummond too. So all's not lost except for the shot at winning this year.

Btw they will have to go into the luxury tax no matter what. Any long term contender will have to be willing to do that

There have been numerous reports that the kings owner actually was the one pushing for a package involving Buddy Heild ffffuuuu.gif

That's one of the theories why Divac said he had better offers from other teams two days before the trade ffffuuuu.giflol8[1].gif final say has to go through the owner and Vivieks hard on for Buddy was the deciding factor....

Either way theoretically Boogie is still very tradable, especially if the twin towers thing doesn't work out....

Don't see how it doesnt work out. AD can chase dudes in the perimeter, both can rim protect, both have range. Seems perfect on paper at least

It's offensive spacing that may prove problematic, not D.
