Advertising on jerseys is nothing new, the US has remarkably resisted it for all this time.

If this were done in exchange for fewer TV time outs I would be really happy about it, but I doubt that will happen.

Not sure how to embed this properly but it's totally worth clicking. I swear it's not a rickroll. One of the few worthwhile thjngs The Ringer has done.

I don't mind as long as it's either high-profile companies that people can easily recognize or smaller local companies that are based in the region the team plays in. I just don't want to see a logo of some dipshit Bangladeshi toilet paper manufacturer on a Knicks Jersey.

The inclusion of a pipe was extra clever.

I would love it if it meant less 4th quarter commercials

80's era showtime Lakers and 80's era Playboy Inc. would've been a jersey sponsorship (and Laker Girls sponsorship tie-in) match made in heaven.

Of course Duncan shops at Old Navy

I haven't shopped in Old Navy in years, so please enlighten me. How does a 7 footer find anything that will fit him there?

Probably actually shopping for his kids or something

This just in: Tim Duncan bought a coffee in public. Later today Tim Duncan could buy a sandwich, keep us updated as news about these staggering events trickles in.

If anything, Duncan shopping at Old Navy is refreshing to see.
You get the feeling that he is not going to be one of those athletes that go broke a few years after retirement.

Didn't Duncan already get swindled out of million$ from a dodgy investment scheme? Maybe he's trying to save a few bucks because of that.
