That won't happen until he calls for GSW to sign Lin.

Can I be both? I grew up in the bay and have watched the warriors through the I believe era and the whole monta Ellis thing. I think my first IRL NBA game ever was monta's sophomore year. Most of my friends are warriors fans some of them since like Chris Mullin era. I went to the cross town rival high school that Jeremy Lin went to. Have been watching him ball since high school and in college mutual friends and Ivy League meant we watched a lot of his college games. Met him a few times after those games. It just hasn't been fun watching bad basketball. This year and last year and the previous year has been really fun.

When Warriors signed Lin that was awesome. And I was in New York when Linsanity happened. That was even more awesome

It's never felt like a "we" until like two years ago cuz I was a Bay Area transplant. And haven't felt like it was my team until this year. And more than anything I'm a NBA and good basketball fan

The truth is, we all know how the series is going to develop: That game 2 was merely a bump in the road, an Aberration, perhaps caused by the massive blow out in Game 1.

The rest of the series, the Spurs will Keep their stuff togehter and will strangle the Thunder to death.

The only question is where Durant will sign next.

guilty as charged. smile.gif

Strange game last night. Felt like Portland outplayed the Ws for most of the night yet still managed to cough up the lead at the end and the differential was about the same as game 1 which the Ws completely dominated from the tip.

I agree that I would rather keep the team together than get Durant but if the choice is to sign Durant or let him go to SA, I think you have to sign him. Good times would be over if Durant becomes a Spur - that team would never lose. Best case scenario for me would be Durant staying in OKC or going to like the Lakers.

Indesertum - you went to Gunn? Had no idea you were a peninsula guy.

Total loyalty by fans in an age when Professional Sport Teams basically function as cash cows for their owners, with free exemptions here and there (Green Bay!) can't be expected anyway. Keep in mind that the owner can change his allegiance to his fanbase in a wimp.

Fans are regarded as customers, so customers we are - the product has to convince US, or else.

College sport and european football is still purer in this sense. Fans do matter there.

Is this even true? The cap is going up, I thought they'd be able to pay the man and keep most of their core intact.

Whether or not that is a good idea is another matter. It would be hard to say no to Durant, but I would hate to sacrifice chemistry, defense, or depth to get him. They will need a Bogut replacement soon. Maybe he resigns for a little less or they groom Festius for the job.

Still, I gotta admit, the idea of signing Durant kinda makes my panties moist.

From what I understand to keep Barnes and Festus they have to give up most of the core anyways.

I had to do a double take

End of Q3 and CLE is up by 30+ with 100 points already ...

I hope Bosh is okay.

Ugh. Mosgov is such an albatross. And seeing James Jones on the bench... so much talent that never gets a chance to develop and you have a corpse like that on the payroll.

Oh, another fucking time out, what a surprise... I'll turn this off and watch something interesting.

Am I reading warriors fans on this thread talking about how they hope to get Durant??

Just stop. If you've been a fan for more than 10 years this is why you hated the "entitled" Lakers fans for expecting that every star free agent was going to sign wh LA

If Durant leaves OKC it'll only be because he wants a ring. But IMO he's going to stay in OKC. Or at least do a 1 or 2 year contract like Lebron and see what Westbrook does.

I don't see a scenario where SA could pay Durant, although of course we'd love to have him. And how to split the ball between him, Kawhi, and LaMarcus?

Yeah WTF guys, everyone knows Durant is going to the Lakers. Warriors fans need to learn how to be entitled.

Meh, the only reason that I'm talking about it is because there have been a lot of rumours that they are making a play for him.

Come on, someone who got the "Big Three" in Miami due to player collusion has no reason to gripe.
