It's more true for Lin than most players. In his defense, he looks like the type of player that will age well.

If they don't advance, the Durant to DC with Scott Brooks now in town becomes a real prospect. Durant might feel like he needs to leave the West to get to the finals. He must know GSW has it locked up for at least a few years to come.

I had to look that up to make sure it wasn't a joke

Heats home court right?

I'm surprised he took the job before the season was over considering he kept saying how he liked his job

Only problem is, his contract was up LAST YEAR.

The organization believed in him and rewarded him for his hard work. Then he went out and performed above expectations. That's the way it should work in every employment situation.

The Andrew Bynum commemorative contract graveyard is full of examples of the opposite.

So the lesson is taking a chance on a player just shouldn't be done ever and SA should've let Kawhi walk (because there's no way he wasn't getting offered a max from at least one other team in the league) and become an All-NBA player elsewhere. Cool, got it.

Seriously, it wasn't even taking a chance...the guy was Finals MVP and locked down LeBron and Durant en route to the championship.
