Is 'Keef' Markieff Morris? Dude seems like a grade A douchebag

He lacks quickness on D and has no athletic prowess to speak of, but in today's game, floor spreaders who can tread water on the other end are extremely valuable. Keef can be good, but you never know when he's going to get arrested for beating the shit out of a former mentor...

Ugh, your line up may just be worse that our own collection of spare parts; Beal and Nene have missed way too many games to classify them as meaningful contributors, and all our other players are one-dimensional, except for Porter and Gortat.

Totally agree on Duds, the whole lack of speed on D is a killer for me, even though his positioning and shooting are solid.

Yup, Keef has issues. We're hoping that Dudley and Gortat (ex-Suns teammates) can keep him on the straight and narrow. Z-Bo was, at one point, considered a complete head-case and lost cause, so there's precedent here.

Since Keef is on the Wizards I see this as a glass-half-full situation, due to fan bias. I think he got a tech a couple of games ago but his numbers look solid so I'm staying positive.

Some of his bad rep can be associated to behavior stemming from his rightful anger at the Suns for trading his brother. Entirely justified because they both gave Phoenix a discount for being able to play on the same team. But even even discounting that he seems to be a shithead towards people in general.

But the Wizards don't need him to be a 20 point scorer either

After the Arenas/Crittenton GunGate fiasco, plus the JaVale Perennial-Shaqtin-All-Star McGee, Lapdance Tuesdays Baltche and Swaggy P era, a lot of Wiz fans are very uncomfortable taking on any players that may disrupt our locker room, but at the same time this season has been terrible and Wall was desperate to get some help.

I hate Grunfeld but this trade seems to be working for us so far; let's see how we perform for the next stretch, since the March schedule has been favouring us so far.

Duds might be slow but he's smart and communicative. I remember watching the bucks last year and Duds was the one calling out what plays the offense was about to run and directing the younger guys. Really liked that. Haven't watched wizards at all this year tho

Yeah, I like Dudley despite his flaws, and it's impressive how solid a career he's made.

For anyone interested in Lillard/Wall in a head-to-head, this breakdown from Coach Nick is pretty good, regardless of how tedious his voice is:

i love coach nick. learned way more watching his youtube videos than years of watching nba and their "analysts"

this season has been so entertaining so far. one of the greatest teams in history, so great that the second best team is also one of the greatest teams in history and the third best team is good enough to win a championship in any other year. one of the worst teams in history. also the best team losing to pretty much only the worst teams in the league and going almost undefeated against the best. two teams possibly going a record undefeated at home. all the crappy teams of yesteryear are suddenly the best (clips, raptors, warriors, cavaliers) or surging (hornets). the best of yesteryear are in the lottery or barely out of playoffs (lakers, bulls). blazers in playoffs even though four of their starting five from last year left. rockets implosion. head coach firings galore. kobe's last season and farewell tour. triple double records being broken, all the three point records being broken, the MVP of last year deserving MIP and MVP award this year because he's so good that he's better than the video game version of himself. mini-linsanity. one of the greatest rookie classes ever. one of the greatest rookie seasons ever (KAT). KG returning to the timberwolves.

what did i miss?

anyways so much fun so far. can't wait for playoffs

one of the best if not the best slam dunk contest ever

It's been a good season, but a few elements are missing, and the league has some stuff to deal with.

I wanted to see the Bulls as contenders, and what should have been the emergence of the Bucks. Games are starting to look a bit starved of variety as there are only 3 things that happen anymore: take a 3, a shot at the rim, and the free throw. I mentioned this a few years ago and it's come to fruition... everyone basically looks the same thru analytics - 4 shooters at all times, etc.

Tanking is a massive blight. The hack-a needs to end. There are too many stoppages with fouls, TV breaks, and time outs -games are just too long. Die sideline reporting, die.

You missed the re-emergence of Amare Stoudimire as the Knicks best player (albeit in Miami).

The whole hack-a-Shaq/Drummond/Jordan is an eye sore but it's a legitimate tactical decision. I will probably stop watching if the league makes any drastic changes. Not allowing it in the last 6 minutes of the 4th is the most radical measure for me; end of the day, these guys are paid to do a job, and free throws are an essential component. You rely on a guy who can't make them, pay the price.
