Iggy's look and shrug was great! They're playing well and having fun which makes it extra cool.

Mr. No Bullshit JVG said that almost verbatim on a few of his shots during the game … "that's a terrible f'g shot! well unless you're Steph Curry" satisfied.gif

GS gets the rebound and my bro in law yells "TIMEOUT" but then it became apparent that Kerr wasn't going to call it and with 4 sec. or whatever it was, did we really think he was going to pass? Drive to get closer? What for? Just freaking launch it. LOL. It's so confusing because everything that makes sense for any other player in that situation goes out the window. The rules don't apply to him. After he made it my bro in law is screaming "YES!" and I just sat there contemplating the universe and all the beauty within it.

Curry's existence basically tells me The Matrix got things right. Only possible explanation.

Think I saw a tweet showing his shots between 28 and 40 ft - 35 made out of 52 launches, or something similarly ridiculous. He makes those at a higher clip then DeAndre makes his free throws. OK then.

I for one welcome our new machine overlords.

I can't wait for Curry to go to the 2016 Olympics and just swish 30 ft bombs all game.

It it me, or as Westbrook ages is he starting to look like Mike Tyson?

In the range between 28 and 50 feet, Steph Curry is 35/52 or 67%. That range is from 6 feet behind the 3-pt line to 4 feet beyond half court...

So what you're saying is Curry needs to take more half court shots then right? Fuck pushing the ball, just midcourt and heave.

Have to pressure him moment he crosses half court

At least that's what Oscar Robertson would want
post #24668 of 27250

That might work if his ball handling was average, or if the rest of the team depended on him creating. Since that's not the case, no solution really.

The Oscar Robertson stuff is pretty hilarious considering that we're not talking about a guy who played during one of the defensive eras. Look at the league averages for PPG - when Oscar was doing his thing scoring was at an all-time high at 110-118 points per game. League is scoring 102 ppg now. If defense was so great back in the 60's why were teams full of guys who couldn't shoot (and without any 3 pointers) scoring 15% more per game than the league is now? In Oscar's triple double year (61-62), the league took almost 30% more field goals per game than they do now and almost 60% more free throws!! Oh and they were definitely worse at FT shooting too. Oscar's 31/12/11 would look more like 27/9/8 and per 36 minutes would be more like 21/7/6. Still nice, but doesn't have the same ring to it. Steph would have absolutely shredded teams in that era - maybe not 50 ppg like Wilt, but he would have gotten his shots off easily and he wouldn't have been undersized like he is now.

I give Oscar credit for playing 45 mpg (and Wilt averaged over 48 his 50pt season) but come on how hard could the league have played defense if guys were able to play that many minutes? No one in the league has played 40 mpg in the last 6 seasons and only 2 guys have done it in the last 8.

Is this any different from old timers who walked uphill both ways to school?

in the snow. barefoot.

Not to mention that they flew commercial, and their nutrition and healthcare was shit compared to what today's players have.

Not necessarily Oscar, but I'm sure a lot of players also were regularly up late getting hammered and chasing tail the night before games

Don't forget taking a smoke break during half time....

The Raptors will waive Anthony Bennett.

That's not good for the former No. 1 pick from Canada. Bennett has only played in 19 games this year and made only 29.6 percent from the field. Maybe some team picks him up, but it seems unlikely. The report does add the Suns are interested, which would easily be the best landing spot for him. He can stay on the wire for now.

Worst 1st pick in history?
