If they do, they better win the championship. None of it matters if they don't.

Yeah they want to win of course… and it's completely reasonable to say "championship or bust". The team obviously needs that attitude. But they're young and it would seem they're gonna get more than a few cracks at it (assuming K's). If they get 2 of the next 3, or 3/4 having lost in the finals once (to who I can't imagine lol), it's still a massive win for the franchise and city overall. Hard not to root for them. smile.gif

If the Spurs ever figure out how to use LMA and his jump shot starts dropping, they'll definitely give the Dubs a run for their money.

If they can get past the Clippers this year.

feel like theres a 30% chance they beat 72-10
post #23991 of 27236
Dubs are rolling but like any great team they face a variety of risks including injuries, complacency and having to face a hot team at the right time. It's great to be sitting here as the defending champions and I don't have any issue with celebrating their regular season success in and of itself. They aren't such a successful franchise that we fans can say championship or bust and ignore the regular season.

65+ wins and conference finals appearance is still a heck of a season historically for the Warriors even if it would be underperforming expectations.

100% they beat the record. 100%

Team is better, individual players improved, west rivals down off a notch

Only thing that worries me is they haven't really played any good teams. If they get out of 2015 with less than 3 losses they beat the record
post #23993 of 27236
They're not beating 72 wins, lol.

But I would be shocked if they didn't repeat
post #23994 of 27236
That record is coming down this year. Zero signs of slowing down, they are beating teams in just 3 quarters. only Klay has been slow to start the year.

Luke Walton for Coach of the Year!!
If they do get 65+ wins and Kerr doesn't come back does Luke Walton get coach of the year?
can luke walton even get coach of the year? there's a weird rule where an interim coach apparently doesn't have a coaching record...instead all those wins actually go to the injured (or w/e) coach's record. I.e. all these wins go onto kerr's resume. yes it's bizarre.

btw kobe just confirmed on the player's tribune site that he will retire after this season. i am experiencing mixed emotions.

GG Kobe

NBA is apparently debating right now about Luke Walton. But yeah under current rules Kerr gets it

Guess his last game will be April 13 against the Jazz. Must be horrible for former, and current players to see him go out like this. Couldn't imagine how disappointed Kobe is.
