The guy ran a pretty good company, but as an owner he's a fucking clown. Karl's contract isn't going to have a loophole, fire the guy and move on. Terrible, terrible decision hiring him.

wow free agency is so crazy already

Tyson Chandler with the Suns. I think it's pretty good cuz Tyson is getting old. I'd imagine towards the end of the contract Len would get much more minutes whereas now Tyson would get more

DeMarre Carroll with the Raptors ($60 mill/4 years, why'd they let him walk. they dont have chances for anybody else...)

Amir Johnson with the Celtics ($24 mill/ 2 years!!!!)

Kyle Singler staying with OKC

Draymond and Warriors couldnt agree... (offer him max already. this is the summer to offer max)

Kevin Love said in the Player's Tribunal that he's signing with Cavs ($110 mill / 5 years)

TT staying with Cavs too ($80 mill/ 4 years)

Also Pistons traded Brandon Knight ($70 mill/5 years) and Middleton ($70 mill/ 5 years) for Jennings...

How the hell are the Cavs going to pay everyone?

LMA is reportedly not impressed with the Lakers pitch. I don't think anyone worth a shit wants to play there as long as Kobe is still on the team with Byron Scott as the coach.

Wojnarowski reported that the Lakers "didn't make a strong impression" in their meeting with Aldridge. Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times said Aldridge won't be joining the team, because he didn't like the basketball portion of the Lakers presentation. Wojnarowski confirmed Aldridge wasn't a fan of how much of L.A.'s presentation focused on opportunities outside of basketball. Aldridge "didn't quite gel" with Kobe Bryant, and didn't get the answers he sought from the Lakers legend, as Kobe said he envisioned Aldridge working with him the same way Pau Gasol did, Bresnahan continued.

As if anyone gels with Kobe

lol i dont know how kobe can possibly help a pitch meeting. get the impression he sucks the air out of a conference room

apparently it was also because Lakers didn't really have a vision that was related to basketball. They kept pitching him on the stuff outside of basketball

Wouldn't you, given the alternative?

that's kind of true, but for example the Suns apparently had signed Tyson hours before and were trying to sell LMA on that and Rockets had a really good on court presentation with lots of data and analytics to show how LMA would contribute to their team

but I guess Lakers have neither James Harden or a good core of up and coming players

Rockets next year tho. If they have everybody healthy

Yeah probably a bad idea to tell Aldridge will be replacing Pau as Kobes whipping boy.

Yeah, that all makes sense. I was mostly just being a smart-ass. But Texas pretty much nailed it. It's pretty hard to lead with a purely basketball presentation when you don't have good answers for questions like, "Who's going to be calling the shots?" and "Who's going to get all the shots?"

Lakers are screwed until Kobe retires. Glad Love, and LMA aren't coming to LA. Lakers should focus on DeAndre Jordan.

Three years from now a line up of DeAndre, Randle, and Russell could be special.

I love LMA
LMA didn't get the right answers from kobe? His first question was probably something along the lines of: how soon you retiring bro?
Ah dammit...I was hoping someone would snake KLove from the Lebronnaires

Clipper should sign biyombo

Still can't believe Danny Green signed with Spurs for $45 mill/4 years. I guess he owes them a ton and wanted to stay but damn. That's highway robbery
