NBA 2016-2017 Season Thread - Page 1509

Well even his post ups end up with a jab step jumper. It's tiring to watch and there's little difference between that and an ISO jab step jumper from the wing or top of the key

Yeah, I mean if he is just gonna ram ram ram into the paint, you're almost splitting hairs. It's not like anybody feeds him the ball. He basically dribbles for 10 seconds,,, then decides whether he wants to go hard in the paint or settle for a jumper
post #22623 of 27353
But dood… he's the best player ever! tongue.gif
post #22624 of 27353
And he almost always settles for a jumper. And everybody knows this and everybody lets him shoot it

It's annoying as hell

As bad as 07 cavs. As bad as Woodson's Hawks

Come back to Miami, we got your buddy Wade, Bosh, and now Whiteside and Dragic!

(You'll have to take the MLE or something like that though lol8[1].gif)

Does wade real think heats will offer him $20 million a year? HE would be lucky Get an MLE

That Heatles team, as hated as they were, was a beauty on offense though. After they settled the Bosh fiasco, everything just clicked. This Cavs team, even with their healthy line-up of of Love and Kyrie, are Cavs 07 with superstars. Effective, yes. Just not really my favourite to watch.

"almost always settles for a jumper"

itt: people bitching about having to watch the best player in the league put up 44 in a finals game. this wasn't a superlative performance of his or anything but to come away from last night's awesome game w/ a hot take like "that game was terrible to watch clipper-spurs was the only good series why doesn't everyone play like golden state why can't the warriors clone themselves 29 times and have their own league" means you're spoiled and complaining to the max.

wade was really good this year when he played and was healthy. that's like 50% of games, but he was certainly star-contract-worthy in those games. i don't think his value is easy to determine

frown.gif but i want more clips Spurs

Also that's all the shots he took. I want to know how many of those points in the paint came off of ISOs or post ups

LeBron James is the best fullback in the NBA. No argument here.
He could totally still kill it as a fullback

No one here knows what's going on and it's driving everyone crazy. And nothing is making complete sense. Wade, Micky and Pat were always on the same page, but now all these idiots are insinuating that Wade wants to get paid some kind of loyalty award like Kobe got, which he of course knows will torpedo the team currently constructed because Dragic and Whiteside need a piece. And then other idiots are accusing Wade's agent of planting this story as a ploy to get leverage. I've stopped paying attention

not sure where to get the breakdown but you can see all the shots here. http://on.nba.com/1EZplLe, count for yourself. i don't specifically remember any shots he put up off cuts or in transition, so the vast majority should be post ups, w/ some isos. he took a ton of jumpers, but one tends to do that when shooting 38 times. he was in the paint a lot.
I guess you're arguing that it doesn't always end in a jumper but my point was a hyperbole. All I'm saying is cavs offense is super stagnant and relies on lebron doing something. Do you want to argue against that too? It sucks watching cavs play offense. same thing every possession.

also i've neglected to mention a point i heard a couple places (most recently from netw3rk today): cleveland's iso/post-up offense helps lessen golden state's ability to emphasize their strengths on defense. golden state is long as elderly balls and switches as much as any team in the league. run a lot of pnrs and you play right into that. they don't get to use that strength if you focus on taking advantage of mismatches, even in the most boring fashion.

isoing/posting up does a couple of things then: negates one of the warriors many defensive strengths (but maybe their biggest one) and blunts their devastating fast breaking edge.
