Hahaha Thibs on SC. This might be the calmest I've ever seen dude. Wish him well.

i thought it was a terrific game. two really different approaches to ball, both executed fairly well. gsw just has too much depth, though. curry was terrific, of course, and it think thompson did a pretty good job on defense, but look at how many other players stepped up for them -- green, iguodala, barnes (highest plus/minus on the team), barbosa, speights ... that's going to be really hard to fight. I still think lebron will take over one game , but it'll go 5, maybe 6 at most -- and that's if irving is healthy.

LOL at some of the posts here, LeBron played great. Cavs just didn't have enough firepower to stay with Warriors. Maybe healthy Kyrie it could give Cavs better chance but even when he played he was far from 100%. Only thing that can save Cavs is LeBron going for 35ppg finals and mozgov and thomson avg double-doubles otherwise it's not happening. Remember gsw can play better than this game.

I dont think we were knocking LeBron (because he did indeed have a monster game). Just that GSW has so many bodies to throw at him and theoretically that should wear him down as the series goes on.

And regarding cavs lack of firepower,, I'm kind of 50-50 on that. Sure they dont have GSW depth but Kyrie, Shump, and JR have been pretty consistent throughout playoffs. The ISO plays and idle ball watching isn't helping.

That 1st Q was awful for GSW. I'm surprised that CLE hung with them so long after it got close. They never scored in OT as far as I remember. I couldn't believe the number of isos.

Looks like Kyrie is gone. This playoffs has been defined by injuries. It would suck if this news made it a sweep.

JR going 3-13 sure didn't help in Game 1. It looked like a lot of them were bad misses and led to Warrior fast breaks, but I don't have stats for that.

If Kyrie is out, JR and Shump are really the only other cavs who can create their own shot (and I'm iffy on the latter). Like woj mentioned, unless Mozgov turns into Hakeem overnight,, it doesn't look good.

Confirmed that Kyrie is out with season ending knee fracture.
Damn. He's out for 4 months

I wonder how the whole Love situation will pan out. Yall think he'll stick to his earlier claim that he's staying with the Cavs or is he bouncing??
bouncing.. he doesn't fit well there

Yeah and goddamnit for that. Now we'll have to listen to all the sycophantic Bron Bron knob slobbers talk the "Cavs would have won if Kyrie hadn't gotten hurt" bullshit. JFC

You have to admit, it's pretty poor luck to lose the #2 and #3 players on your team.

I do, of course. It sucks balls and as a basketball fan I'm disappointed. This would've been good regardless with Kyrie and probably a beast of a series had Love not gotten hurt. Cavs may have even been the favorite with Love, who knows. But now (although I felt this way before the Kyrie news) it seems nearly a foregone conclusion Dubs are gonna win it. And the Bron Brons will talk shit still.

btw… I don't mean here, but public comments and media noize.

why the hell can't any of you tell the difference btwn an iso and a postup, cuz lebron posted up way more than he isoed.

kyrie news wtfwtfwtfwtfwtfwtf

jr smith played like microwaved trash last night. if he plays better they win the game. i don't know why blatt kept him out there instead of shumpert.

kyrie played a fucking great game, every bit as good as curry. he was even really good at defense, and not just gambling plays. like, legitimately good. it's such a shame he's out.

bron was good but not dominant, and he took too many fadeaways.

blatt did a really good job. the cavs pressured inbounds a ton, which totally froze up golden state's semi-transition game. at the same time, gsw's coaching staff made good adjustments.

with that said, the cavs are still playing great defense and the warriors' offense has been an issue. cavs are an interesting matchup in that regard, cuz they turn the ball over very infrequently so the warriors can't run nearly as easily. but delly has no chance of staying w/ steph w/o a ton of grabbing, so i'm sure that will be an issue later.

i hope this isn't a sweep, but who really knows. lebron's supporting cast is now officially worse than during his 1st stint in cleveland.
