I don't care about homecourt against chicago.
Miami I believe will be terminated by one of them above so homecourt question is moot.

West
If we hold up we'll have homecourt against dallas. No worries.
Okc or portland should duke it out with spurs.
Okc we'll have homecourt but is moot as they won't make it past spurs.

Now only issue is homecourt disadvantage w spurs.

Anyone care to comment on how we will fare against them in conf finals?

I'm thinking we'll still win, but will go 6 games.

Spurs have little chance in the playoffs w/out Duncan. Pop's prolly playing possum...No word down here that it's serious.

finally had a little vacation and got to see the USA vs ARG friendly yesterday.

that argentina goal with the mesi in between the legs pass rebound then goal was fucking amazing, but the US comeback goal was just as rewarding. fucking crowd went ballistic in the 26ºF weather.

other than a walk off homer in a baseball playoff game a great soccer match goal is probably the most exciting thing to see live.

the weird thing about watching nba basketball live is its like american football live where it doesn't really flow that well.

For me the best sports to watch live are NHL, Soccer, and baseball (because its relaxing, but when its playoffs its also the most nerve wracking emotionally draining).

i'm just glad that my vacation coincides with my not watching the celtics fucking stink in the recent games.

Biggest post All star break game for us on tues vs dallas having the biggest playoffs implications (not that it matters to us anyways):

It is virtually a 4-game swing:

If lakers win, dallas would be 2 games behind us but we get the tie breaker. Meaning they would be really 3 games behind

If dallas wins, we would be tie, but then the tie breaker goes to dallas meaning we are essentially 1 game behind dallas.

Also, I don't think the lakers would want no1 seed anyways:
Harder road to the finals:
Go through a tough front court in memphis
Then either okc or denver/portland in 2nd round
San antonio/dallas 3rd round

Better to be 2nd seed:
Play a slumping neworleans 7th seed
Play dallas 2nd round
San antonio on the road 3rd round.

Either way we win I'm sure but the latter situation lessens the chance of playoff injury to bynum.

Game vs. Dallas is Thursday? All sounds good, but the team has 3 days off before they play again Then again, Dallas plays Clippers the night before on a back to back

Funny how people start posting again now that the lakes are winning.

Now that David West is out for the season, I don't see them staying in the playoff contention. Chances are, if the Lakers are in 2nd place, they'll play Memphis or Portland.

Trust me, I was down and out, McGee killed me with those blocks and OReb. I honestly thought I was done until I saw Bynum miss those ft's and then bam I was right back into it. I don't think Bynums suspension affected you much since you won the Pts, OReb and Blk category anyways. Even if Bynum returned, I think I would have won DReb anyways, I was up 20+ after last night. To be honest, I think what hurt you was keeping Blatche and Young, you should have dropped them and get stats from any of the waivers with 3-4 games last week, but that is just how I see it.

I had my own problems too, Gordon struggling when I needed him the most (3-14 against the LAL), had to drop Rudy Gay and DWill not returning. I thought Randolph was going to save me yesterday but dude got into foul trouble. Just glad I squeaked by and made it to the finals, I must say my odds aren't good against mikey, dude snatched up late season studs from the waivers, Lowry, Allen, Arthur & Jennings.

It'll be tough especially if DWill doesn't return.

jeez ... i knew the lakers had a tough close, but i just looked at the actual schedule: After Dallas Friday night, it's Utah, Denver, Utah ... break for Golden State ... then Portland, OKC, San Antonio and finally closing with Sacto. that's a tough lineup. nine games. five with playoff teams. and utah always seems to give the lakes a rough time.

Utah isn't a big problem anymore I think, Harris isn't even healthy and Milsap has been hobbled by injuries lately.

San Antonio has no Duncan and might no Ginobili as well, plus they are the one team who can afford to lose so they won't be as much of a problem as before.

The dangerous teams in that bunch is Denver, Dallas, OKC and Portland. Those are the true challenges before the playoffs start.

the dallas game on thursday will determine mostly where we will stand pat either in 2nd or thrd.

2nd is the ideal spot right now.

all these injuries happening around at the wrong time for these western teams, i just hope it doesnt leak to lakers.

You're right about keeping those Wizards but I've been pretty content with my team so I haven't kept an eye on the wavier wire so I couldn't think of who to pick up. Oh well even if I made it to the finals Mikey would have crushed me.
