True story.

lakers full strength tonite. relatively. when is theo ratliff coming back? is he ever? i liked his presence and some of his legitimate offensive 'moves' when he was playing earlier part of this season and preseason.

and will caracter be perhaps part of the playoff roster?

12 only:

kobe
pau
artest
fisher
bynum
odom
barnes
blake
brown

ebanks? caracter? ratliff? joe smith? walton ??
only three from here can go to the roster.
that's a great 9. based on the rotations jackson's been using so far, walton will definitely go (not defending, just saying). ratliff if he can ever get back in a game ... just because they need a second true post. my guess is it'll be caracter ... i think ebanks has been hobbled (or is it the other way around? i can't keep those two straight).
ebanks is the small forward who was sidelined recently
caracter is the power forward fattie who hasnt been really lving up to his potential yet

..and remember..last season playoffs we were essentially only SIX deep:

kobe
pau
fisher
artest
odom
bynum

kobe was playing injured at 75% strength, bynum was on one leg virtually only 33% strength, odom was only there half the time....
and the rest of the bench crew didnt really contribute much except for the couple of minutes brown and farmar played.

so celtics fans cant really say much about the perkins thing.
we can say 'hey we played only 6 people and not at 100% anyways. also, even if perkins was playing 7th game, doesnt mean it AUTOMATICALLY Meant they would win the game. the whole outcome can be changed. it could have been a runaway for the lakers if you really argue about it. like the butterfly effect. doesnt mean anything.

Anyone else see Griffin get mega-swatted?

i saw that . thing is he wasnt going for a true dunk or tomahawk, then mcgee wouldnt have been able to reach although he has the longest wingspan for most. blake was doing a like a under scoop up and shot but then got swatted. different.

but because it is blake, media made a big deal out of it because they just assumed everytmie he goes up , it would be some kind of a over head tomahawk dunk

Who cares, the dude got swatted like it was volleyball.

David West out for the season.
If the playoffs started today, they'd go against the Lakers and could have cruised through them.
Looks like a spot just opened up for the Rockets or Suns in the playoffs.
Ouch, bug blow for the Hornets.

As horrible as the Suns are playing right now, I could easily see the Rockets sneaking into the playoffs. Not too optimistic that the Suns can beat the Hornets tonight, even without David West. And Paul will tear up Nash.

Oh Ron Ron

Dude's two consecutive dunk fails had Stu Lantz laughing his ass off.

weird-ass game. between barnes' three straight in the second quarter, and ron-ron's back-to-back missed slams, and then dfish getting into it with a 7-footer almost at the buzzer....

not to go all serious, but they haven't played a lick of d in the last three games. considering that's what got them on the roll, that's worrisome.

Spurs loses but it doesn't matter, unless they lose 10 straight, the Lakers aren't taking the #1 spot.
The good news, Boston lost again so right now they have the home court advantage against them, which is important.
