I think the Wizards have a good shot at beating Atlanta next round. They've played Pierce at PF, which forces the opposing PF to defend outside the paint and give the Wizards good opportunities with the pick and roll. Atlanta doesn't have a big man inside that is going to punish Pierce.

I think ya'll giving the Bulls too much credit, yeah it was a sweep but those were hard fought games while the Cavs pretty much just rolled over their opponents. I know it's all about match ups but even with Love out, i think they are still the favorites. I mean Love only played one good game iirc (where he made 5 threes?) then got hurt. I am not sure they'll even miss him to be honest or am I missing something?

I'm sure they will miss him on the boards.

Eh, I think Thompson and Perkins can pick up some of that slack. Sure they aren't going to be offensive threats but I don't know, never really feel like Love was a significant part of that roster.

I just don't think it'll be as easy or a given for the Bulls already. Atlanta and the Cavs are still strong out there.

i think they'll miss the spacing on offense a lot. kevin love might not have had the most amazing numbers but he brought out a big to the perimeter everytime. that's going to be taj or pau or mirotic not protecting the lane

maybe this will be like when heats didn't have bosh and realized how much they really needed him

I'm not even a Cavs fan, but send that Kelly bitch back to the WNBA.

That's way too physical for the WNBA...

Giving up spacing is a given but I still don't think it'll be as big of a factor. JR missing time might be a bigger factor.

Really? You think JR is a bigger factor? At least they have shumpert. They don't have a big to replace love's skillset

Mavs really should've kept Jae crowder and wright. Really missing their presence

If any of the following get into heat check mode, it could cause trouble for Chi: Jones, JR, or Miller

(Kyrie is a given)

But the Cavs been a success with very little help from Love, when I watched them at least. I've been more impressed with Tristan and his offensive rebounds to be honest. Mozgov is also a bigger factor than Love in my eyes.

Smith can just as easily stretch the floor too and dude is deadly from anywhere on the court, he's been the good NYKer Smith so far. And they need his bench scoring more than Loves contribution.

Granted Loves been good to decent in the first 3 games (finally) but I still think Cavs win those games without him.

I don't know, I guess we'll see. I just don't think it's a give away as some of you guys are implying with your post of Bulls vs Dubs finals already as long as you have a healthy Lebron and Kyrie.

I know JSmooves kryptonites the 3pt shot but don't leave dude wide open. it's like a practice shot for him out there.

Well my point is numbers wise you might not be impressed or even see Love's impact but just having Love chill in the corner or wing opens up a lot of things for the cavs on offense just like it does with Korver on the Hawks.

It may be a little early anointing the Warriors as representatives of the West.

San Antonio didn't have much of a problem with them, or the Rockets.

But they gotta beat the Clippers first.

Again I get that but eh. Kevin Love was barely getting into the thick of things but that's been stated a million times.

Love is also terrible in defense, one of the main reason I say the Cavs still sweeps the Celtics without him is they have no proper big man. Once they face Milsap & Horford, Pau & Joakim and Nene & Gortat, then they are going to have a problem.

Honestly, against the more physical play of the Bulls and Washington, it might be beneficial or blessing in disguise to have Perkins as the enforcer for their upcoming games? They lost some skills but gained toughness? I don't know, i think it'll benefit them while not missing Love's contribution at all.

In the end all I am saying is that the Bulls aren't a sure thing for the finals, many here are already proclaiming after that injury. Even if they get past the Cavs, the Hawks will be waiting and people really need to give them some respect, it isn't going to be a give away.

Not to mention that the Bulls is just about as fragile as any teams out there, Butler, Pau, Noah and Rose are one misstep away from missing the rest of the playoffs. They better get rid of the Bucks next game or else they'll be facing a fresh Cavs and it'll be an uphill battle than a next round guarantee.
