Fuck! CP3 shouldn't have given that up to Blake. That was his time.

Best game I've seen in a long time. The Chuckster may be right when he said it could be a battle(war) of attrition.

i dont know if clippers can keep playing like these the entire playoffs. they barely played their bench. griffin, jordan, redick, cp3 all played at least 43 minutes.

Yeah. I was watching wondering that too. It might turn SA's way later in the series but SA looks to be surviving a bit, they are a better starting 5 than last season. Having Crawford back makes a huge difference.

Parker looked hopeless. Mills is the better option now.

That Chris Paul shriek was hilarious. I rewound to enjoy it again. Duncan gobbled Jordan up, and it got worse deeper into the game. Also, Duncan's defensive positioning was just incredible, he has to be the best 38 year old in the history of the league, wow. Size is really bothering Paul. I like Leonard on Blake.

Kawhi Leonard wins DPOY (ahem, that's Kia DPOY) and is the first wing player to win since Ron Artest in 2004.  Interestingly, Leonard did not garner the most 1st-place votes.  Draymond Green did, but Kawhi had the most total points among voters.

I thought Green would win it. But Leonard is the best defender in the league right now, so it's a tough call.

funny, the two games in this series are like mirror images. spurs missed open shots in game 1, clips missed them in game 2. duncan was, indeed, ridiculous. it looks like he was releasing his shot earlier than most and somewhat awkwardly, i wonder if that was throwing of jordan's timing.still, if that reddick 3 had stayed down, if griffin hadn't fumbled that play at the end, the clips could have won it. But, as i've been saying from the start, the bench is going to determine this one. clippers had 6 players with more than 15 minutes; spurs had 9. on the other hand, clips are younger and i think there is a sense that this is their big shot, while spurs are older and this is the last rodeo for a lot of them. it's going to be a great series.

Solid Z Lowe (and shorter) piece on Brooks and the Thunder.

My only disagreement is that I don't think he'll land another gig. He's been out-coached and exposed too many times to be considered for a top job. Maybe a job in college. But in the NBA, I don't see him getting hired again. Guys made progress under his watch, but they would have elsewhere too, so it's not saying much.

I know the Thunder need help with their offensive system, but I'm still surprised he didn't mention Thibs.

You'd think that, but people keep hiring Byron Scott and Mike Brown.

This is the coaches equivalent of continuing to overpay players with albatross contracts.

Add Isiah Thomas to any job in basketball to that list.
