the sort of easier fix would be to fire Scott Brooks and find someone better

This exactly what I meant when I posted that I hope Memphis knocks them off the playoffs (if they make it....)

I mean, nothing against OKC but not making the playoffs or an early exit after all this whatever-it-is they've done would really bring about some drastic and much much needed changes to this franchise

Supposedly 38 players were traded today and that doesn't the 7 or so picks that was also moved.

it was basically musical chairs today with point guards.

MCW on the bucks though... looks like a great deal that may actually not be a great deal... I don't know I'm confused.

Does that include players who were traded twice?  Like IT2 was first traded to Philly and then got rerouted to Boston.

i dont think so, i think marc stein just got the trade wrong. woj for life. i could be wrong, but i dont think you can trade a player you just traded for. or is that a player you just signed? or both?

You might be right, but I think technically they would count it as a 3-team trade (or it was one originally from the start...yeah, Marc Stein sucks).

the only thing i am a little sad about the Heat trade is that we (their fan base) haven't gotten to participate in the crazy draft hype wheel for ages, and the future gets worse with all the draft picks they traded. the last high pick they had was (argh) Michael Beasley

Dragic will be enormous for the Heat if he could only replicate last year's numbers with a high level of efficiency. lots of ifs though.

and in the most interesting non-Heat news - - how did Morey get KJ McDaniels for peanuts??
watch hinkie offer kj mcdaniels a nice contract and get him back and basically get isaiah canaan and a 2nd for free

i still dont understand why bucks traded brandon knight. knight is younger than MCW and a much better player

i donno if dragic is going to be as good as last year but i think it's an incredible trade for them and (if everyone is healthy) they're a legit contender in the east. even if he's a bit worse than last year, he's still a legit east all-star. now they have 3 east all-stars and hassan whiteside???

btw bosh is now in the hospital? hope he gets well soon

Fair point but he's got a shot at meeting it if his efficiency stays relatively high. Because we know his usage rate is going to be high
post #20606 of 27247
didn't realize this but sixers basically got a first round pick from the thunder via nuggets for taking on javale mcgee

fleeced

also i dont understand the point of giving away your first round pick for a future first round pick. does the tanking ever stop or is it a never ending cycle of getting draft picks only to trade them away for more draft picks?
Exactly. Doesn't seem like assets the Sixers are ever going to use anyway. smh

it's kind of amazing actually. they literally have no point guard!!!!!

this was a great point:

Bill Simmons: What an astounding turn of events for Chris Bosh. Remember when we believed that Bosh willingly passed up four years of contending Rockets teams for an extra $30 million and two more months off a year in Miami? Now he’s playing with Dragic, Wade, Deng and an emerging 7-foot center who’s routinely throwing up 20-20s. That might be a better situation than Houston if Dwight Howard can’t get healthy! What the hell just happened? Chris Bosh is the new Keyser Soze.

btw i haven't watched the spurs in awhile but do they always look like this? their offense has literally been 80% long twos so far. kawhi leonard looks like freaking waiters. at least parker is doing a passable nash impression.

this was a great point:

during the nba allstar game podcasts Bosh seemed the most transparent and honest about difficult subjects like the 2011 and 2014 finals loses and even his diminished role as a 3rd option in Miami.
