If I hear the "Mecca of Basketball" again, I'm going to lose it.
its a weird misnomer. there has been traditionally a ton of NBA talent that has come out of the NYC metropolitan area, but that doesn't mean the Knicks or Nets are really part of the "mecca" equation other than Madison Square Garden being in NYC.
its also kind of funny how there are probably more notable historic nba moments involving opposing team/players at MSG than actual knick players.
I miss edmorel. I remember the last time this conversation came up, he defended this by saying "see!!...players going off at MSG is headline stuff cuz it's happening in New York the Mecca!!" followed by everyone saying "Uhm...yeah but it's never done by actual Knicks players..."
didn't watch the game except the end, but i hear there were some pretty good highlights at least
it's actually really sad that lebron will never do the dunk contest. but every now and then you get one of these, and you know he would be incredible in it. iono bout beating lavine, but he'd be amazing
seriously what is curry even doing in this??
omg dirk w/ the vince celebrations. after the game someone asked him about this lob and he goes, "hey, that's what i do."
god russ is the best.
Russell Westbrook on why he's never been in the dunk contest: "I only dunk on people."
