i dont really care to find the tweets, but he was arguing with the bballbreakdown guy for awhile about how triangle sucks cuz it only gives long twos. pick and rolls are a big part of a triangle offense. generally a triangle will happen on the strong side and depending on which option you use it naturally flows into a pick and roll on the weakside. its not really an either or thing
this. when the triangle is run right, there is alwaysthe opportunity for a slasher and a back-side cut. the problem with the triangle is that it requires players to move constantly and to think on their feet. this is harder than it sounds, apparently. the benefit of a pnr offense is that it's essentially a 2 or 3 man game that everyone has grown up playing since high school. it doesn't need to be taught and it doesn't need discipline. plus, lots of break time.
Listened to the BS Report, interesting thing that they brought up I was also noticing in fantasy, which is my guys were producing solid lines during away games. Turns out this year will be the lowest winning % for home teams ever by quite some margin. Home court advantage is disappearing.
