During the 11th annual Lakers All-Access event on Tuesday night at Staples Center, Nick Young, Jeremy Lin and Wayne Ellington were part of a panel that quickly turned into a preview of a potential future reality show starring Young and Lin. The event also included a Byron Scott imitation of Young. Here are some of the highlights from Swaggy P's time on stage:
Quote:
Jeremy Lin was talking about Harvard. Nick Young said USC is the best school. Lin quipped, "Yeah, I heard they do your homework for you."

Lin: "I'm single."
Young: "How are you single?"
Lin: "Because I'm not dating anyone Nick."
Ellington: "I'm engaged."
Young: "You're engaged!"
Ellington: "Yeah, Nick, when are you getting engaged?"
Young: (silence)

Young on Kobe: "Once you get to that level you're supposed to be like that. You're supposed to be a little off."

Nick Young on the origin of the Swaggy P nickname: "It's biblical. It's in the old testament. The prophet of swag."

Young on Kobe's practice rant: "I went home and my girlfriend was calling me soft like tissue. That kind of stuff hurts me."

Lin: "I was born in Torrance."
Young: "Really?"
Lin: "Yes, Nick. We've been through this. I wasn't born on another continent."

Young: "Didn't you used to beatbox?"
Lin: "I've never beatboxed in my life."
Young: "Must have been another Lin."

Young on Kobe: "He has no filter. He just talks and talks and talks."
Lin: "That's ironic."
Young: "What?"
Lin: "Nothing. Keep going."

Young: "When are you getting engaged Wayne?"
Ellington: "None of your business."
Young: "Cool so no date yet."

I haven't been following Austin Rivers, but from what I remember from his college days and his rookie year, the dude absolutely could not dribble with his left. How the hell are you a son of a former player/current coach and you can't even dribble with your off hand...?

no it does show in his stats. his PER, +/-, win shares are all down.

i dont watch knicks games. even knicks fans barely watch knicks games even if they have almost courtside tickets

Kunk, Melos non-trad stats (win shares, box +/-, real +/-, wins above replacement) are way down compared to last year, no one should care that much about counting stats outside of fantasy purposes. Fwiw, Chris Paul's advanced stats are pretty much the same as last year's.

Also I try not to watch the Knicks, but they and the lakers are on national tv all the goddamn time.

sure chris paul isn't hustling as much, but i wouldnt call this his worst season

i didn't know this but gerald green only has 9 and a half fingers

he's missing half a ring finger on his shooting hand from a dunking accident as a kid

Tayshaun Prince might get waived by the Celtics. Might be a ok pickup for the Clippers or Mavs.

Prince would be a great pick-up for the Clips but seems like Doc might be determined to waste their remaining cap on his son. baldy[1].gif

Houston trying desperately to get Deron from the Nets too, been hearing it for a little over a week now. Not really sure why.

To you guys who have watched the Clips in person, any truth to Bill Simmons' theory that they hate each other? He brings it up every other podcast. lol8[1].gif

While I don't think they hate each other, at times it does seem like they do not get along as well. Like when someone falls, teammates do not run to help them up or when they get on a timeout it seems like they aren't enthused to give each other high fives. Just the little things that you see with other teams where they would run to congratulate someone on a good shot or just eager to help their teammate up. Not that it is the case all the times, I just see it more often with the Clips than other teams. Some of it might also be due to them losing more, kind of hard to be happy and cheer each other up when you guys are losing more often.

Clips commentators swears that they are real close off the court though and you could kind of see that in their social media pics and all. I mean CP3 is supposedly the nicest guy off the court but on the court you'd hate to face him as he'll do every dirty little tricks on you. I don't think that should affect his teammates but who knows, some of them might not be cool on it?

Outside of those little nuances, nothing really tells me they hate each other. Worst case scenario might be that they do not all get along with each other but Blake and Jordan are best friends and CP3 is pretty close with Blake too.

I'm just guessing here, but I think his teammates find Chris Paul to be a pain in the ass. But not as far as hating him, I'd be surprised if that was the case
