While he is on the waivers, if there are more than one team trying to get him and willing to pay his full contract and has the room to do so, the team with the worse record gets him.

i am not sure about the athleticism or the defense. his strongest suit was always weakside rim protection, not chasing smaller guys around, so i don't know how he would do w/ small forwards. nate duncan, who watches crazy amts of film, says that smith resembles the average PF even athletically now.

@indesertum RFX is right about him during waivers. after he clears waivers, he's a total free agent, so he's free to choose to sign w/ any team he wants.

can you post the article you claim i plagiarized? I don't think i found anything that comprehensive that mirrored what i said, esp "word for word." if i did, i'd post it and credit it (unlike what you do) and save myself a shitload of effort.

it's not a unique opinion to think doc hasn't been doing a great job. "plagiarism" is a bit strong.

i don't think doc is terrible, i apologize if i said that. i don't think he's good though. (also don't think he's a "bust

as for other links, here's some i looked at:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2147785-eric-bledsoe-trade-coming-back-to-haunt-los-angeles-clippers

if you don't think the bledsoe and dudley trades were disasters for what they were, i don't know what to tell you. yes they didn't kill the team, but the bled one was basically a mini-harden trade.

the shumpert thing is interesting, i like that idea. afflalo's not that good though, redick's prob better.

like i said, there's opportunity cost to signing all these old ppl. they don't improve...if you sign someone younger like ed davis there's upside. it's not necessarily the money they spend, but what else they lost out on instead.

Like I said, not necessarily. It really comes down to this, I say he can play with the starters to replace Barnes while you say he has to come off the bench. It's just differing opinions but pushing that isn't going to change my mind. In the end, he is still set to have plenty of playing time even if he comes off the bench with Hawes out and the second unit struggling. He won't average his 13/7/5

Nate Duncan says he isn't athletic anymore but most analyst who has reported on Smith and which team could take him has mentioned he is athletic still, again at a prime age of 29. With that said, there have also been mentioned of highly athletic but low bball IQ.

And many analyst actually do not like Smith with the Rockets because Montejunas has been real good at PF this season and has potential to get better but putting him back on the bench is going to another Asik situation. Now if they can trade Monte along with another to get Dragic (I read this is being considered somewhere) then that works.

With that said, I am not saying the Clips is his best choice, it really isn't. On money alone and being friends with Howard and getting that starting spot for sure, I'd go there. Or even Miami as I think he'd be better playing with Bosh there.

You linked to it but reading this article, the only that came to mind is that "I just read this a minute ago" (meaning pretty much what you wrote): http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/94965546/doc-rivers-gm-los-angeles-clippers-extension

Your format is different but it is pretty much that article outlined.

Again I promised not to drag this issue further so I'll just leave it at that.

Might be better off posting the link and saying you agree than writing all that stuff up.

Better said for both of you. My eyes.

Team just looks so lax and happy that no one is out there yelling at them. lol8[1].gif

It's like the Dubs' scouting report only consisted of how to stop Kobe. crackup[1].gif
post #19332 of 27209
you dont need to scout to stop kobe. kobe stops himself

I can't. I don't comprehend what happened in tonight's Dubs @ Lakers game. At least I chose the right one to go to, with Kobe dropping 40 and the Dubs winning by 40.
