You could read more sarcasm so you actually know how to use it.

It's pretty funny. For all of your frequent protestations of indifference, you care so much about trying to seem clever that you went back and re-wrote your post because you thought you'd come up with a "funnier" way to present it. But it's no better and still sucks.

anybody catch this last night?

also this article on adrian wojnarowski was pretty entertaining with a clear bias. that last paragraph deserves a bit of a facepalm

this gem of an anecdote
Quote:
In 2010, the NBA fined Dumars $500,000 for leaking multiple confidential league memos to Wojnarowski, according to multiple sources. This matches the third largest publicly known fine the league has ever handed down. The NBA decided that too many memos were making it into the media, so they conducted a sting operation over several months. They would change a few words or numbers in different team’s copies of otherwise identical memos, so that when the memos leaked they could spot the small differences and trace them back to the leaker. This approach caught Dumars red-handed, as well as an executive from another team who was fined $12,500 for leaking to a draft-focused website. Joe Dumars, the Detroit Pistons, and the NBA all declined to comment on the fine.

the mavs story prolly broke just as the executives got off the phone call and before they even had a chance to tell their staff or inform their own players

Honestly I'm mostly annoyed about your relegation talk lol. But at least I'm not suggesting Charlotte should give up on the point guard they just extended weeks ago for a player who shoots even worse, who definitely would leave after 6 months. Plus what would boston want with lance, what does anyone want with lance??

honestly i'd rather have jameer nelson and brandon wright than rondo not to mention the draft picks. rondo's been pretty bad at defense the last 3 years never mind the health issues. although i am pretty curious as to how performs under carlisle

i think the mavs gave up too much. i really really love what brandan wright brings to the game. extremely unique player and very undervalued
This is what a few people I trust are saying so far (haralabob, Nate duncan, Ethan Strauss [meh]). Obv rondo is better than Nelson but he dominates the ball; doesn't that go against the philosophy of your offense? Gonna hurt monta and parsons for sure.

Plus maybe the bigger deal is that chandler is often injured and you gave up a great backup.

Then again, maybe you make the upgrade no matter what cuz the team w/ Nelson wasn't going anywhere. Pretty exciting.

Relegation talk is hilarious.

Don't know. He was born ready, though.

that piece is freaking incredible, thanks so much for sharing it. woj is so woj, do you remember his articles about lebron even pre-decision?? they were basically slanderous attacks haha. btw today woj broke the imminent nature of the trade but marc stein actually beat him to the terms of the trade.

yes. i thought there was something wrong with the dude, but now it kinda makes sense

that was a great story. i loved reading the little anecdotes. my favorite part was the germaphobe part and the part where all the celtics order shirley temples because rondo orders them

the thing is rondo is really going to help mavs offense, but it's not like they needed help on offense. also monta ellis is not a great off ball shooter. he needs to be running high pick and rolls at full speed. they needed 3 and D perimeter guys more than anything, not another point guard.

i do think rondo will be great with the mavs cuz they're so heavy on pick and roll. but im not sold that mavs as a whole will do better

also i feel brandan wright was really good in the context of the mavs pick and roll heavy offense especially with the spacing nowitzki provided. not sure how good he'll be with the celtics
