Not a Lakers fan, but a bunch of bullshit.

No one seemed to have an issue with Magic saying he hopes the Lakers lose every game. And it was ok for Boston to tank a few years ago. But it's not ok for the Sixers - so much so that they had to try to change how the draft works. Silver should come out and let us know which teams are allowed to tank, and which are not. A list would clear up a lot of the confusion here.

Better yet, have Stern give him a few pointers

My takeaway from that was:

Jeanie is 53 and still a stone cold fox.

On tanking, I hope no tanking team ends up with the #1 pick, ever. The odds are not in my favor, but it's going well so far.

I get that maybe he can't go hard for every practice, but if you give a shit about the team, isn't there some value you might be able to provide to your teammates by actually attending practice?

No wonder no one wants to play there. What a cunt.

Who's the MVP that had the worst looking game? I guess some people would say Duncan because they find his style "boring".

What about the way he plays don't you like? His euro step is beautiful and his step back is butter...

Conspiracy theory. All of the other envelopes, Stern drops in the bowl but the Knicks envelope he throws against the side allegedly denting a corner of the envelope. He uses the dent to identify which envelope to pull out to ensure that the Knicks get Patrick Ewing.

lakers would be pretty dumb not to tank to keep their pick. it's a huge difference btwn tanking to keep a pick and tanking to generally improve your pick. much easier to strategically lose games to keep a top-5 pick. much huger payoff too. just like the warriors did a few years ago to get their pick (harrison barnes), and it hasn't hurt their culture or organization or w/e.

don't mind the buss talk, I guess, because they at least want to maintain the image of a winning organization.

only reason anybody has a problem w/ what the sixers are doing is because they're so much better at it than anyone else...plus the media has pumped up the concept of "tanking" so much more than it actually exists imo

The best response I've heard about tanking is when it was brought up to Coach K. He said it was downright unAmerican.

There isn't much left that's un-American and tanking isn't one of them.

We need to burn this village to save it.

How long have Spurs been successful?
